Summary

This set features three complete Daisy McDare cozy mysteries including:

Daisy McDare and the Deadly Art Affair: Daisy McDare wants nothing more than to find the man of her dreams and build a thriving interior decorator business. Instead she finds herself heartbroken and in the middle of a murder investigation.

Daisy is in the middle of a decorating job at a famed local celebrity's mansion when the arrogant painter is found murdered in his backyard studio. Suddenly there's a house full of suspects, each with a bigger reason to want the victim dead than the next.

When the local police get stumped during their investigation, Daisy realizes she'll have to take matters into her own hands.

Daisy McDare and the Deadly Legal Affair: Daisy McDare is busy nursing a broken heart, trying to build up her interior decorator business, and baking cookies when murder strikes Cozy Creek.

At first, she leaves the investigation to Chris Crumple, the local bumbling police detective. But when Crumple arrests the wrong suspect, Daisy takes the investigation into her own hands.

Cracking the case won't be easy. She'll need help from her pastry-baking best friend Samantha, her wise-cracking Granny Annie, and her trusty West Highland Terrier Shamus.

It's up to Daisy McDare to find the murderer in Cozy Creek before they strike again.

Daisy McDare and the Deadly Directorial Affair: Murder once again strikes the quaint little tourist town of Cozy Creek. This time the victim is an arrogant independent film director who has a bad habit of making of enemies.

As the set decorator for the movie, Daisy is in a unique position to do some serious sleuthing. But she can't solve the murder alone.

She enlists her cupcake baking best friend Samantha, wise cracking Granny Annie, private investigator crush Gavin, and her lovable West Highland Terrier Shamus to find the killer.

Fun

Daisy McDare and the deadly art affair.
Format: audiobook
Narrator: Caroline Shively
Interior designer come sluth Daisy McDare finds herself in the middle of more than just a room to decorate when artist Luke Longwell is murdered and
there’s no shortage of suspects.
A fun enjoyable listen, I can’t say I really took to Daisy’s character instead by far my favourite character is Granny Annie.
The Narrater does a good job and has a pleasant voice.

Daisy McDare and the deadly legal affair
Daisy McDare finds herself in the thick of it whilst decorating the office of lawyer Max Cash.
Max’s murder unveils a host of suspects but Daisy knows she has to solve the murder when the wrong person is arrested.
This is an easy enjoyable listen, I warmed up more to Daisy’s character in this one and again the Narrator does a good job with the delivery.

Daisy McDare and the deadly directorial affair
Not sure I’d hire Daisy McDare as my interior decorator, wherever she is there’s a murder lol.
In this one she’s on a budget movie set and as usual there’s plenty of suspects not to mention the bumbling detective.
As cozy mysteries go these Daisy McDare ones are some of the better ones I’ve listened to/read.

Gumshoe-esque

Beautifully narrated murder mystery lite, with American soap opera feel, like all seventies and eighties series on TV. The characters are stereotypical but with enough depth to work with. Never dark, surprising with the subject, easy listening and gripping enough to follow the main protagonist

A lovely series

I very much enjoyed listening to this series and I would be happy to continue to listen to more. The stories are gently paced, lighthearted and fun. The mystery in each story is interesting and entertaining. The characters are cute and likeable.
There is a very relaxed feel to these stories which I appreciated and enjoyed as I chilled out in the garden with a glass of wine. Perfect.

I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy.

You need a strong ability to suspend belief

Not sure what the part about Daisy's ex had to do with the story line. Seemed kind of superfluous. Her job as an interior designer also seems a little superfluous, too. She goes on two shopping trips and that's it? And her friend asks her to solve her husband's murder based on what? Just too many unlikely scenarios for my taste. The narrator seemed to be on the verge of laughter through most of the book.

Fun series!

It never fails. Daisy is just going about her interior decorating business in Cozy Creek when she ends up investigating a murder. While investigating murders she also struggles to navigate her love life with the help of her dog Shamus. Daisy gets support and sweets from her friend Samantha and witty comments and investigative advice from Granny Annie. The plots of all three books move quickly and are well-crafted. The characters were entertaining. All in all, a fun series with excellent narration. You won't be disappointed here.
