Rosa and Luca are both strong characters separately but together they are something else!
Magic, Vampires, Seers, Witches and Shifters what more could you need in a book!
There was a perfect amount of spice and plot!
Fast pace and easy to follow romantasy, definitely a page turner! Rosa is a badass FMC and Luca sounds dark and delicious! Definitely morally grey!
They should want each other Vampires and vampire slayer, protector of humans. But they do give it a read and find out why!
No idea how I'm going to until book 2!

I saw the tropes vampire/slayer, fated mates and curse and I was sold. Other then that I went in blind and I’m so glad I did.
I immediately loved Rosa’s charachter, feisty, strong and with a smart mouth. She’s been trough a lot and the bad things keep following her. Luca is a unexpected and confusing surprise, however their chemistry is electric. But why, how, he is a vampire?! And on top of that, they can communicate to each other with their minds🤯
Luca presents is charismatic and irresistible from the very beginning. What captured my attention though was his witty & dirty mounth. As a 400 year old vampire you can imagine he’s been trough a lot to.
Even though there chemistry is insta lust, I love the open up to each other and start to fit more like a puzzle piece fitting togheter instead of magnets. Not to mention their banter is so good. And the spice was hot🥵 Luca would definitely melt me with is dirty mounth🫠🤭
The plot, the spice, the lies and betrayal was so well done! All the bread crumbs, so many questions still unanswered, but do I like the ones that are?! So many feelings for the MC’s! And can we take a minute for the care the authors put in the side characters. Because I am curious about almost all of them, excelt for Grand ball sack and Victor😝 Those two can go rot in 👿 Because I felt a lot of emotions towars them, especially the Grand ball sack.
Warning, this book ends with a cliffhanger and al lot of questions, so be prepared to be left wanting, NO correction, needing more😉

Duet narration by @narratormaxine & @seanmastersaudio was a 10/10🔥 They absolutly delivered every emotion!! Which is all I want while listening to a audiobook.
Maxime captured her sassy, strong, but tired character perfectly! I felt the top tier banter, but also the hurt by betrayal and exhaustion trough my airpods.
After hearing Sean Masters voice in my ears for a week now, because this is the 3rd book in a row that is narrated. I can honestly say, he know exactly how to become the character and it always fits like a glove! His ferm, low, but soft voice captures Luca’s character to perfection. He is a strong character, but can be soft for her. In the bedroom however, his tone get’s me all blushing and kicking my feet🤭
I couldn’t stop listening once I starded, so I couldn’t recommend this audiobook more🤌🏾

I've read most of Sadie's books but this was my first audio of hers.
I've had an unscratchable itch for a Vampire mafia book and boy did this exceed all my expectations, which were high already.
Rosa, a Seer, insanely fierce and strong, smart and insightful FMC with an attitude and sass that I couldn't help giggle at. She has such a great personality. Pairing that with Maxine Mitchell was a fantastic decision. Maxine really heightened Rosa's character making me love her all the more.
luca Da Firenze!!! If you've read Sadie, you'll know that her MMCs are always delicious, but Luca had me melting in my seat .. Dark, broody, mysterious and built like an ADONIS. Brought to life by Sean Masters - you know you're in for a fantastic time!
Rosa has been receiving more 'calls' than usual (a psychic hitlist, if you like) when she's faced with Luca after staking a vamp target. Luca has been instructed by his mafia Don, to either kill Rosa or kidnap her, the reason is unclear But now having met her he cannot deny the unmistakable pull they have to eachother. Their dynamic is comical at times 🤭 together they begin to unravel a much sinister plan in play between their families.
With some great side characters, their goal is to put an end to the geriatric rulers, especially 'The Grand Ballsack' - come on, like that villain's name doesn't make you want to pick this up 😆
Sadie and LJ work so well together. The world building is great but not over the top. It's well balanced and well paced with extra spicy spice 👌🏼
Now a torturous wait until May for book 2 .. okay, I'm exaggerating, it's a soft cliffy 🤭
