Summary

Experience the first Killashandra Ree adventure, in which the indomitable Killa overcomes disappointment in one career by diving into a much more exciting one. Filled with suspense, anguish, romance, and intrigue, this distinctive adventure is one of Anne McCaffrey's best.

Abridged-

I’m such a fan and love Anne McCaffrey’s books. As others have mentioned I would like to listen to an unabridged version. I read this series decades ago and am revisiting them so a real treat. I’ll have to reread my old bartered copies again. Performance takes a bit of getting used to but not bad.

Poor sound quality

Copy muffled poor sound quality. Otherwise a great listen. I would of preferred a unabridged version instead of a abridged one.

One of my favourite series

I love this story despite it being abridged. The narrator speaks very quickly and this detracts from the flow. Or maybe its the abridgement that interrupts it. I'm happy enough but glad I didn't pay full price. I move on to the second in the trilogy hoping the story will overcome the issues. This one managed it, just....

Very disappointed as it’s not an unabridged version

I love this book, but this is a disappointment. I don’t think the narrator is very good and the book is not the full version

Enjoyable

The audio was quite fast and had to slow it down, but apart from that a very enjoyable listen

Great book, a great intro into the world

Great book but I’d definitely see it as part 1 and you should read the other 2 to really get the full joy of the series

a great book not so great narration

I loved the book in my past but the narrator's speed and tone made it a hard listen I nearly stopped a couple of times.
I had to slow the playback down by 15% just to hear some of the words slowly enough.
I was as if the narrator was in a hurry.
plot line was great.
