Shaw and his loyal dog Girl do their best to avoid humanity, especially now that his fellow werewolves are nearly extinct. But humanity is heading his way.
The Facility is a research centre that specialises in cryptozoology: the search for legendary creatures. Once these ‘cryptids’ are found, they are caged, abused and experimented on to graft their physical prowess onto ordinary soldiers.

Even as the Facility’s troops hunt down Shaw, and the cunning Cryptid Nine plans her escape, something far more horrifying is emerging from hibernation to feed.
And both human and cryptid will discover that nothing can stop the Wendigo…©2021 David Haynes (P)2022 W. F. Howes Ltd Dragons & Mythical Creatures Fantastik Horror Supernatural Thriller & Suspense Korkutucu Paranormal Kurgu Mitoloji Kurt Adam

Really enjoyed this not knowing anything about it prior or the author. I’m really taken with the narration of Jeff Harding so been looking (with the exception of Reacher novels which I’ve listened to all) for viable alternative novels narrated by Jeff Harding, in doing so I’ve found a new favourite author and now listened to all his novels and awaiting the third in this series released next month called Rose. Cryptids gives a great spin on folklore and conspiracy theory which keeps you entertained all the way through. If you enjoy this definitely listen to ‘Destroy all Cryptids’ and other favourite by Haynes are ‘The bookshop from Hell’ and ‘The Skittering’. That being said if you don’t enjoy Jeff Harding’s narration you may find it difficult to get along with.

This is a highly original take on cryptids and creature features, with enough from folklore to honour its roots while also doing something completely different

Enjoyable, innovative creature feature
