But our enemies never rest and they don’t let go. The witches are moving against us, weaving traps that cut deeper than I could have ever expected. New threats, familiar faces, and old stories will crash together and threaten to cruelly shatter everything I’ve fought to hold together.

The narration is outstanding. I felt that for the last 3 books they lacked pace, often quite slow at times then 1 or 2 chapters of excitement and then left 'hanging' with incomplete explainations that detracted from the listening pleasure. I will get the next book but may not finish the entire series for the above reasons.
