Summary

Guilt and grief have driven a wedge between long time crime-fighting partners psychologist Tony Hill and ex-DCI Carol Jordan. But just because they're not talking doesn't mean the killing stops.

Someone is killing women. Women who bear a disturbing resemblance to Carol Jordan. And when the evidence begins to point in a disturbing direction, thinking the unthinkable seems the only possible answer.

Poor narration

Enjoy the Tony hill stories but I really don't enjoy this narration...especially when he is meant to be a younger person, awful! I dint think he has the range of voices to cover all ages, genders abd accents

Another good 'read' from Val McDermid

As much as I enjoyed this book I did not like the narration.
I feel it would be unnecessarily cruel to say that the narrator did not perform weil but his style and delivery, in my opinion, did not match the content of the book. He sounded as if he should be performing a Dickens classic rather than a gritty murder, mystery novel.

Enjoyed but annoying plot hole

I was enjoying it but got annoyed that the person (no spoilers) who is initially accused of the murders couldn’t have dumped the bodies as he had no car!!!!!

Always a good listen

Love the Tony Hill & Carol Jordan series. Always a good exciting story & this didn’t disappoint,I missed some of the usual characters. The narrator Saul Reichlin is excellent & just by his voice changes you know who the character is.

The story was original and kept me interested to the end. The narrative was confusing as I got confused who was supposed to be talking
