Summary

Why do babies have lopsided smiles? Why are so many people's eyes misaligned? What started as a simple search to understand this phenomenon turned into a two-year quest that uncovered hidden links between our crooked faces and some of the most puzzling diseases of our time.

From autism to Alzheimer's and from chronic fatigue syndrome to Crohn's disease, Crooked methodically goes through the most recent scientific research and connects the dots from the outbreak of metallic medicine in 1800s England to the eruption of neurological and autoimmune disorders so many are suffering from today.

If the theories put forth in this audiobook are true, the convergence of metals, microbes, and medicine that started 200 years ago may have set humanity on a path of suffering that could make the deadliest epidemics in history pale in comparison. Thankfully, for the millions who are afflicted, who may have found nothing to explain the cause of their suffering - these same theories could also illuminate the path to healing and recovery.

Just a normal guy doing some great research

what i loved most about this book is that it covers topics not usually brought up in health books, that is metals and bacteria. It may sound a little anti vaccination, but it's about looking at the processes that slot a lot of medicines have beyond what they were intended to do.

Great listen and well read. could have done with an accompanying pdf.

A theory that sums it all up

Crystal clear theory that all need to consider. There are some well made studies backing it up as well.

Exceptional

Honestly one of the most thorough books on vaccinations, so much research and links made to things that we know to be true but it's amazing to hear it all in back and white.
This is for the novice in vaccine research and those who think they are well informed.

A must read for every doctor, scientist, parent

The paradoxical thing about human health is that while the working of the human body, it's cells, organs and systems is incredibly complex and interdependent, the bases for maintaining health are actually very simple: supplying our body with healthy, nutrient dense, plant based food to allow for it's optimum performance, avoiding toxins and stressors.

Similarly, the hypothesies contained in this book while discussing a wide range of seemingly unconnected symptoms and diseases, are actually very simple and too logical to dismiss.

It's not surprising that it took a layman to put all the pieces of puzzles together. I can't imagine a doctor being able to do it.
The downfall of the western medical approach is that while it started branching out to become more and more specialized, it also lost sight, that while we are made of brains, organs, tissue and bones, we are one, complete and inseparable system.

Forrest's wholistic perspective, allowed for him to be able to make sense of fragmented, typically western reductionist information and turn it into a cohesive hypotheses.

I truly wish for this book to receive a recognition and attending it really deserves, so that further research and studies could be undertaken to examine this theory further.

Heed the warning

This timely hypothesis should be ringing alarm bells. It will make absolute sense to some whilst others will bury their heads through lack of insight.

Amazing open minded review of man made diseases

I am a functional medicine physician who has spent countless hours studying what is causing chronic disease and how to restore a person back to health. Despite spending over $100,000 extra dollars on the quest for that knowledge after practicing medicine for 15 years the answers are still elusive. This book sheds a more in depth view and understanding on those underlying causes and touches on a few ways we may be able to reverse them. The last 6 years practicing functional medicine and having decent success at helping people I know that Forrest Maready is on the right track. I thank him for writing this book. It was enlightening!

A book everyone should read

This book falls in line with other research I've done. It is a thorough investigation of the auto-immune diseases that plague our country in a post-industrial world.

Occam's razor approach to modern disease causation

As a medical professional and sufferer from many of the conditions mentioned in this book, I highly recommend this book to any and all individuals who have a willingness to learn more about humanities crisis of modern-day illnesses, their similar causative lineage, and approach to healing when/if possible. Sadly, the simple and probable hypotheses presented in this book can easily destroy the pharmaceutical industry, thus leading to it's potential for being written off as quackery of a non-medical professional.
This text can truly be a guiding light for future generations, even if it does not save those of us, that are beyond our prime of life.

Scientific explanation to so many different diseases

Extremely informative book concerning different diseases and the causes. I recommend this book to everyone especially those who want to educate themselves on what causes diseases, how to prevent, and how to possibly recover from man made diseases. I gave it 5 stars since the book is very thorough on explaining exactly what has occurred to damage the human body and cause the diseases.

Great info!!

This book is extremely well written and well researched. I’ve been on a path of healing for myself and my kids for many years and this book filled in some blanks that I had. It also gives a great description of history and gives helpful context.
