I really enjoy this series i just hope that robert dosnt stop surely he has another 10 in him! The humour and story are great i just hope that we get the OG group back together at some point in the story!

I really enjoy this series, it's daft and hilarious. I've been following Roberts socials for a while and know he has been debating this tenth book. I'm glad he continued it and has managed to keep the laughs coming. Please carry on.

This book has taken a couple of years to get here, but my god. The break has done Robert a WORLD of good. Don't get me wrong. I loved book nine. I love all the book, they were and are fantastic (I re-read them frequently).

But this was just sublime. Robert has evolved as an author. The balance of childish humor is just right in this book. Speaking of, I feel a lot of people miss the sheer genius of Robert as an author BECAUSE of some of the childish humor. But the characters are so well done. There are character arcs, they stay true to their stats and the game rules/mechanics.

Indeed, I think Robert gets too much shit for his characters. This is one of the most diverse, open and accepting book series I've ever come across. Does it feature racist and homophobic CHARACTERS? Sure. And from how they are treated in the books, it's pretty damn clear the author is neither.

This series features gay relationships, tackles disabilities, makes fun of the racist u.s south and mocks the hypocrisy of homophobes.

But above all it is about fun. It's about friends messing around with D&D.

Robert, if you read this, thank you for giving me some of the most enjoyable hours of reading of any author, living or dead. If anyone had EVER told me jokes about someone shitting themselves would make me laugh before I discovered these books I'd have said they were insane. Yet here we are.

Not to mention how much there is beyond the low brow humor. Your sheer raw writing talent is just out of this world. Your understanding for story, characters. Keep it up. This is your best one yet. It was worth the wait.

I love how incredible these characters are. How realistic they are. How damaged they are. How hilarious they are. Much like Python, Fast show and Spaced, it’s like Bevan wrote these stories to tick every box of my sense of humour.

I just love these characters.
