Summary

Nick Horrigan has finally put his traumatic past behind him...until a SWAT team smashes into his place in the middle of the night. He's told that a terrorist has seized control of a nuclear power plant and is threatening to blow it up...

Unless he can talk to Nick. As Nick rockets toward the truth, peeling back layer after layer of lies and deception, only one thing is certain: the long-buried secret, tied to the traumas of his own past, threatens his life at every turn.

Not to my liking

It’s ok but I think it could of done with some action , if you were up against the CIA and the president the story would of being over in five minutes a specially when nick had no military training,
The author let the reader done . Sorry for the bad feed back .
Yours John Whelan

Good read

A little slow at firs but it really got going. Scott brick is awesome in his narration as per usual. Although sometimes I had to remind myself that it's not Evan Smoke 😂

Small details spoil it a bit

Character A secretly records a conversation with Character B and springs it on him. Character B foils him and produces a pink noise disruption device. Character A immediately counters by producing a pink noise filter device. I know it’s just a story, but these sort of things push beyond the bounds of what is credible and stop you getting absorbed by the story.

gripping thriller

This was one of those books I couldnt stop listening too, and it pulled me along through every emotion possible, from sheer fright; shock, horror at such callousness to other humans and tears, to titters of laughter. A roller coaster of emotions! Extremely well read with sensitive nuances by one of my favourite narrators, Jeff Harding. If you like a who done it with twists this wont disappoint.

Not my usual listen

I don’t usually go for this genre but I found the plot line fresh and engaging. The character development was well thought out and I found myself wanting to know more. Great read!

Excellent thriller

Really enjoyed this book. Narration was spot on and easy to listen to.

Too often American thrillers can be overlong, overwritten and badly in need of the blue pencil, however this novel was beautifully judged - I really felt for our hero and although I guessed some of the main plot, still found the denouement interesting and exciting. I'm looking forward to reading other books by this author.

Compulsive listen, couldn’t stop

Fast paced, great characters well read, great plot with plenty to ponder as it twisted & turned...nothing to not like.

Top class stuff.

Jeff Harding is my favourite narrator and he does a great job in this tense and intriguing thriller. Don't miss it !

A new author for me but a really good story

very well read by Jeff Harding. I could listen to his voice for hours. The story was unusual in a good way. Not a plot that I had heard before. If your tired of listening to the same old authors as I was, give this book a try.
