Too big to miss--that's Odelia Grey. A never-married, middle-aged, plus-sized woman who makes no excuses for her weight, she's not super woman just a mere mortal standing on the precipice of menopause, trying to cruise in an ill-fitting bra. She struggles with her relationships, her crazy family, and her crazier boss. And then there's her knack for being in close proximity to dead people…
When her close friend Sophie London commits suicide in front of an online web-cam by putting a gun in her mouth and pulling the trigger, Odelia's life is changed forever. Sophie, a plus-sized activist and inspiration to imperfect women, is the last person anyone would ever have expected to end her own life. Suspecting foul play, Odelia is determined to get to the bottom of her friend's death. Odelia's search for the truth takes her from southern California strip malls to the world of live web-cam porn to the ritzy enclave of Corona del Mar.
Would you listen to Too Big to Miss again? Why?
Definitely!!! Funny, with real lovable characters and great story lines.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Too Big to Miss?
All of the book.....from start to finish.
Have you listened to any of Lynne Darlington’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No, I haven't. But she has nailed Odelia just right!
Any additional comments?
Absolutely loved 'Too Big To Miss' in the new audio format.
Lynne Darlington was for me the perfect choice as the reader, giving Odelia the perfect sassiness!
When the next one coming out in audio, Sue Ann?
but after a couple of hours I was totally invested in the story. Odelia's the kind of character you wish were real so that you could actually meet her.
Here's hoping the rest of the series becomes available in audio format soon!

It was refreshing to listen to a book with a middle aged protagonist and an intriguing murder mystery. While I had my suspicions about who did it, I wasn't sure until it was revealed.
The mystery itself doesn't begin right away but I enjoyed getting to know Odelia, Gary and the cast of characters as they discover that there is a mystery to be solved and how they respond once they know.
I thought Lynne Darlington did an excellent job with the narration. Her POV voice sounds
natural and fits the character well. She also does a good job of distinguishing characters.
All in all a very satisfying listen, I do hope Sue Ann Jaffarian publishes more in this series as audio books.
