Publisher's Summary

Fear is contagious....

In a small town in Utah, people are contracting a horrific disease with alarming plague-like symptoms. The CDC quarantines the area but outbreaks are already being reported in China, Japan, and England. Evidence suggests this is not a new strain of superbug - but an act of war, an orchestrated deployment of unstoppable terror....

Special agent Jericho Quinn, hellbent on finding the sniper who attacked his family, steps into an even bigger, and deadlier, conspiracy: a secret cabal of elite assassins embedded throughout the globe. Infecting the very fabric of the free world. Exterminating targets with cold, silent precision. For Quinn, it's as insidious as the virus that claims new victims each day - and he plans to wipe it off the face of the Earth....

    "Kind of blah"
Is there anything you would change about this book?

    Perhaps not buy it.

Has Time of Attack turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not from the genre, but from this author yes.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

It was one of his better reads

Could you see Time of Attack being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    No. Not even close.

    Any additional comments?

Now that I am nearly through the series, i will listen to them all, but when I get through with the last book, I wont bother coming back. There is no ending. It's a giant marketing gimmick to get you to the next book for the story. There really is no 'ending' - so, this kind of thing pisses me off. When I get to the last published piece of work, I wont start up again when the next book comes out. SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE ENTIRE SERIES.

    "Great book"

Enjoyed the book but it is just the first installment. Ended just when it was really getting good. Look forward to his next book. He is a good writer. The narrator is good but reads without too much variation of voice so it can be hard to follow if you are not paying full attention, like scrubbing you hands in an airport to keep from getting infected...

    "Great suspense!"

This is book 4 in the Jerico Quinn series. Book 6 will be released late in December. The series started with National Security one of the best of the thriller genre. Books 2 and 3 were disappointing. Book 5, which I read prior to Book 4, was outstanding as is Time of Attack. This is a series I will continue to follow.

    Highly recommended!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

No. A book should finish it's storylines.. otherwise it's a periodical and isn't sold as a book.

What was most disappointing about Marc Cameron’s story?

I can't quite understand why I need to pay for several books to get one story. If you write a book, finish the story lines. Otherwise call it monthly or something.

What about Tom Weiner’s performance did you like?

    He's brilliant

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    angry, I feel cheated

    Any additional comments?

    Don't, just don't

Another great Jericho Quinn thriller. Marc Cameron continues the series with such detail you feel like your in the middle of action. Tom Weiner is an excellent narrator with a range of voices that is second to none.

    "Bikes, Women, Swords and combat"

This is really a fun book. Motorcycles and good looking women mixed together with combat, hand-to-hand fighting and high speed chases. honestly it's a little goofy when you put it all on paper but I do love the book. It was a good to listen. Jericho Quinn is a modern-day James Bond minus the British accident and all the gadgets.

All in audiobook format, this review references 6 books in the Jericho Quinn series. Most are narrated by Tom Weiner, State of Emergency by Luke Daniels. All are between 10-11 hours of listening, so in total, all represent approximately 65 hours of the Jericho Quinn adventures.

Jericho Quinn is a Mitch Rapp (Vince Flynn), Jason Bourne (Robert Ludlum), Jack Ryan (Tom Clancy) … well, you get the idea. He’s the self deprecating good-guy-tough-guy, who loves motorcycles, that the world turns to in the event of an apocalyptic threat. Jericho and a few secondary heroes/heroine are the go-to characters for the Director of National Intelligence. Quinn’s code name is the ‘hammer’ … which should give you an idea regarding collective mission objectives.

The bad guys are middle eastern, the weapons that of mass destruction. Think bio weapons, nuclear warheads, dirty bombs, and the feverous attempts to quell what initially seems inevitable.

The Jericho Quinn stories are complex and a myriad of unrelated events are intermingled into a satisfactory conclusion. Each novel can stand-alone, but characters move through each book to the next. Some have a very distinct cliff-hanging ending prompting the reader to move forward to the next book to get any closure. Pay attention, moments are sometimes hard to follow without re-wind. Although these stories usually bring together seemingly disparate events, Cameron goes overboard a bit, in my opinion. There are many scenes that seem to add little, if anything, to the plots, and could easily have been removed. But, that’s just me, and you may come to a different conclusion. Basically, in my opinion, the books are good, but could have been shorter and less confusing.

Narration is fine. I take no issue with either reader. Luke Daniels has a unique take on the bad guy’s voice, however … a bit grating. But, he’s the bad guy, you’re not supposed to like him :-). You’ll have no trouble discerning who-says-what-to-who with either narrator.

Many of the well known authors of this genre, like those previously mentioned, are dead, and with them their wonderful characters. In my humble opinion, with this series Marc Cameron is making a credible effort to fill the void with Jericho Quinn.

If you like the genre, you’ll like these stories … and Jericho Quinn. Enjoy!
