Summary

A money-laundering accountant disappears in Romania. The hitman hired to disappear him is found dead in a Glasgow flat. And the owner of the flat, the accountant's widow, claims she knows nothing about it.

Crime reporter Rosie Gilmour isn't convinced by Helen Lewis' innocent facade - she is convinced Helen was the one who ordered the hit on her husband, and she's going to prove it. But when she discovers that Helen's husband worked for a ring of gangsters selling babies from Romanian orphanages, her focus shifts.

Now she has two sets of criminals to bring to justice - she'd better pray they don't catch up with her first.

A nail-biting thriller for fans of Kimberley Chambers, Dreda Say Mitchell and Jessie Keane.

Riveting

So, is this the end for Rosie Gilmour? I really hope not. Another fantastic narration by Sarah Barron.

I love this series

I enjoyed this book very much especially the ending, but I don't think the plot was as coherent as in the previous books. There was a sense of having encountered very similar situations in previous books but it didn't detract from the overall experience and the book was very enjoyable.

Time to go Rosie Gilmour.

I feel it's time to call it a day with Rosie. This book is very much the same as the last one.....The scrapes that this reporter gets into are becoming a bit far fetched......I have enjoyed the books but if there's another I won't be listening to it

Wow

I love this series. I really enjoy the fact that the lead character - Rosie Gilmour is not a fractious and unpleasant person, she isn't conniving or selfish. I love her character and feel fearful of some of the scrapes she gets into. The story is, as ever, excellent with shady characters and people smuggling. I really looked forward to this book and have NOT been disappointed. The side stories, and the other characters - Her Editor, Photographer, TJ and Adrian are all well developed and likeable. I loved it!

Another brilliant Gilmour investigation

If you like Rosie Gilmour you will love this, it is not ground breaking but it's rare that anything shocks these days, it's all been done before, this is a solid story, with great characters and I totally enjoyed it (except for the tear jerking Orphanage scenes)
