Summary

A little girl is missing. Her parents are hiding something. Who will pay the price?

When eight-year-old Jasmine Peterson goes missing, the police want to know everything. What is local park ranger Sam McIntyre running away from, and why did he go out of his way to befriend a young girl? Why can't Jasmine's mother and father stand to be in the same room as each other?

With every passing minute, an unstoppable chain of events hurtles towards a tragic conclusion. Everyone has secrets. The question is: who will pay the price?

Easy listen

This was a decent enough story but not what I expected from the title or description. I thought it would be about discovering what had happened when the child was abducted but the whole story was leading up to the abduction. I still don't think the child had a 'secret' and I was left disappointed

Great story

I loved this book. I listened in the car mostly and I found myself sitting outside the house long after I'd arrived home just because I couldn't bring myself to stop listening before the end of a chapter. Narrator's accents weren't great but that didn't put me off. overall great read/listen
