Summary

Jessica and Owen Nobles are heartbroken over the loss of their son, Jacob. Jessica has taken his death especially hard, spending the past three years sedated and under the care of a psychiatrist. Desperate to save his wife, Owen moves the couple to Florida, hoping a change in scenery will remind her how to live again.

When Jessica begins to see a small boy in the upstairs window of the abandoned home next door, she goes to investigate, only to find the house empty. Afraid that she may be seeing things, Jess does an internet search on the home’s address. What she finds is an image of the boy from the window - a boy that’s been missing more than 13 years.

Reluctant to tell her husband, Jessica sets out to find what information she can on the child’s disappearance. Yet, someone is going to great lengths to stop her. To make matters worse, bodies begin dropping around her like flies. And she's the prime suspect in the killings. If Jessica doesn’t back off now, she risks losing more than just her mind...she could very well lose her life.

Very good story!

Very good storyline. Well written and believable characters. The Emotion of the characters was felt from the get go and kept you reading to see how they would conquer life's tragedies.

Johnny Mack did a wonderful job reading this to us I have heard him on a few other audio books and enjoy him immensely.
All in all a book worth listening to.

Good Book

I thought this book was good but could use a little more excitement. It was lacking in the thriller aspect. I loved the narration. The overall story was good. I would recommend it to other listeners.

a thriller to keep you on the edge of your seat

not only was the story itself engaging but the narrator also does the voicing so well he keeps you listening too. I found myself finding all the time I could to get any more of the story in so I could find out what happened. I was obsessed. I'm normally not into thrillers but the synopsis sounded different that I wanted to give it a shot and boy was I glad I did. the author does such a good job of sucking you in via emotion and pure suspense. just as you think you have an idea who does it, you are thrown around a different path second guessing all you just thought you knew. I couldn't stop until I knew what happened.

Entertaining read!

This was my first Ditter Kellen book, and I really enjoyed it. It delves into the strain loss can put on a marriage and how people can work through that strain. Outside of that, it contained elements of romance, mystery, suspense, and even a little supernatural effect which all held your attention.

Usually, I prefer my narrators to coincide with the main character's gender, but Johnny Mack was pleasant to listen to and acted out the story well in both genders.

I would recommend The Boy In The Window to my reading buddies for sure!

Great Read

The Boy in the Window by Ditter Kellan was a great psychological thriller. Jessica and Owen are both still grieving over the loss of their son. Owen took a job in Florida in hopes that a change of scenery will help Jessica. Little did he know this might just tip her over the edge. Jessica starts seeing a boy in an abandoned window. I loved reading Jessica and Owen's story and can't wait to read more by Ditter Kellan.

The Boy in the Window

This book Was utterly Fascinating from start to end. Johnny Mack had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish with His narration of this book, I was completely immersed in this intense story and fully enjoyed listening to this narration from minute one to the very ending. His voices for the characters seemed pretty spot on especially since he was portraying A female main character along with several other male and female supporting characters.
Phycological Thrillers are not my normal genre, I'm more into the Romance & YA books, but this book sounded really interesting when I read the blurb, enough to pick my curiosity and give it a go. And I am Really glad I gave this one a chance. The main Character Jessica's antics had me wondering if she was really seeing the boy in the window or if she had just entered Crazy town and was trying to drag others along with her there. This is one of those books that has so many different twists and turns it makes you constantly think about what is going to happen next, and who could actually be behind what is going on in the book? I thought for sure I knew who the "bad guy" was several different times with the small clues we were given only to change my decision when something else happened further along. And Holy Crap, I Never saw that Ending Coming, I really never would have guessed that in its entirety it was completely surprising... This book was Great and the Narration was Even Better. I would Definitely recommend this book in Audio, even if you normally don't go for Crazy Thrillers, you should still give this one a listen.

Incredible thriller/mystery plot twist ending

I finished this book in less then 8 hours of starting it. I simply couldn’t stop listening, every chapter just got better and better.

The author did a great job in keeping the reader interested and the ending... the ending was not what I expected at all.

This book starts off very sad when we find out that Jess and Owen have lost their 7 year old Son Jacob due to a tragic accident.
The couple moves away from their home in Chicago in hopes that Jess will start to do better and have somewhat of a normal life again.
They moved to Florida and Jess starts experiencing a lot of “things”.

I would recommend anyone who likes mystery/ thrillers so pick this book up. It’s amazing! Definitely looking forward to reading more books by this author!

Not my cup of tea

I have to be honest I generally don’t read/listen to a lot of psychological thrillers. I tend to become obsessive with trying to figure out everything and end up skipping to the end and spoilin the story. I picked this up because I like the narrator and he did a good job with this book however the story itself was meh. I found the characters dull and lack luster. Not sure if I will be picking up anything else from this author.
