Publisher's Summary

July 4th weekend, New York City: As thousands of holiday travelers make their way out of Manhattan, a flawlessly executed terrorist attack plunges the city into a maelstrom of panic and death. Amid the chaos, an elite team of foreign operatives is systematically searching for one of their own, a man so powerful that the US government refuses to admit he even exists and will do anything to keep him hidden. Now, with the world's deadliest enemy upon America's doorstep, counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath must fight his way through the burning city streets to take down an invisible terrorist mastermind with the means to unleash hell on a global scale.

I have loved all of these books and the character Scot Harvath. I was just not a big fan of this storyline or the ending.

    "Predictable "

This is my 4th Scott Harvath book and it was very predictable. I got bored and actually couldn't wait for the book to finish. They are all the same type of story

"Great Fast Paced Book! One of the best yet"

So everything in this book goes great, and entertaining. There is just one part in the end where you will may think to yourself...who came up with that one. Actually 2 things. Entertaining nonetheless.

    Story
"Was doing great until the last couple of pages."

This one was fun. Lots of action. Some smart villains and governmental idiots who refuse to communicate with each other. I enjoyed everything about this book, right up until the last couple of pages when the author pulled out an oft used cliche. It didn't help that it was the cliche I most want to remove from this genre. That cliche knocked the story down from a 4 to a 3. Other than that I give it a strong recommend.

    Story
"Best Brad Thor I've listened to"

The story was exciting and told by none other than the master of narration. This was one of those books I noted my place then listened until I fell asleep. Up in the morning to find my place and off again listening. And Scott finally has someone of interest, maybe. But the story, like so many others, could happen any day and where would we turn?

And since I don't do book reports to give away the fun, I'll just say I think its well worth the listen.

    "Another great one"

Some of these books get too technical with the gun detail but this as the others are great!
