Summary

Sometimes death is not the end....

Charley has a strange feeling when she sees the idyllic mill house with its cluster of outbuildings, the lake and the swirling mill stream - a powerful sense of recognition, as if she has been there before. Except she knows she hasn't.

After Charley and her husband, Tom, move into Elmwood Mill, sinister memories of a previous existence start to haunt her. Despite both their attempts to dismiss everything with rational explanations, the feeling turns to certainty as the memories become increasingly vivid and terrifying.

Charley is persuaded to undergo hypnosis - but in searching deep into her past, she unwittingly opens a Pandora's box of evil...and now the terror is free.

Well! Couldn’t put it down

I love the Roy Grace series, and Peter James, so bought this audiobook to experience another side of the author.s writings Started to listen yesterday, and through the night then finished the book this morning, it’s scary stuff. Only one tiny criticism in that the format is a little bit a la James Herbert, but this style was in vogue when the book was written. Will now enjoy exploring other non Roy Grace stories by Peter James..

Not sure

I'm a Peter James fan so downloaded this book as soon as it became available. It is very well written as you would expect, but I'm not sure it's my sort of genre. The narrator made it very difficult for me to enjoy the book as her male voices are a terrible growling rasp, and she has an annoying way of over pronouncing words.

I'll buy the book instead.

Had to get a refund on this because I couldn't tolerate the narrator's habit of portraying male voices by 'going a bit croaky'.

Sent it back

I love Peter James books but gave up on this one quite early on.!.. The narrator was awful she just droned on and on.. Such a shame as I had been waiting months for the release of this novel.

Too wierd

Sadly didn’t enjoy this. Story too far fetched. Narrator crocky voice for male characters.

Good book

I enjoyed this book but was disappointed that the narrator pronounced
Cuckfield incorrectly. Peter James should have picked up on this.
