Just excellent

Robert Goddard is truly a master story teller. His books don’t seem to age. The clever way he weaves elements of History into his narrative, makes the story completely believable and enthralling. The supernatural elements in this story did not put me off / even those were totally believable.
I’ve never been disappointed by his stories and can listen to them more than once, which pleasure!

Not Goddard's best

I disliked the 'paranormal' elements in this story which, frankly, I found ridiculous. However I persisted with it because of Michael Kitchen's excellent narration.

Intriguing and sometimes surreal

Beautifully read, the story is both spellbinding and fascinating. Mr. Kitchen is adept at the characterisation and he keeps you on tenterhooks with his clipped delivery. Very intriguing and keeps you guessing, asking “what and why?” Throughout.

Kitchen is made for this!

Not Goddard ‘ s best I think but still a very strong plot and narrative. Michael kitchen ‘s performance is excellent.

Really good story

I think Michael Kitchen is the very best narrator for Robert Goddard books.
This was a really enjoyable listen, as I do like RG storytelling

A unique and tensetale

There was so much going on in this action packed story. The storyline is very unique, with lots of twists that you don't see coming. A brilliant tale and very well narrated.

Another great book by Robert Goddard

Another great story from Robert Goddard, as you would expect, superbly narrated by Michael Kitchen. I have greatly admired Michael’s acting ability over the years and he carries his talent effortlessly into audio. I hope I will hear more from them both in the future.

Poor audio quality

A great story, beautifully narrated by Michael Kitchen, but let down by a recording that skips in several places (some critical for the plot). I downloaded it to my device a couple of times just to make sure, but it made no difference.

Poor Editing

I so wanted award 5 stars for this book but, what let down was the poorly clipped editing; on a number of occasions which, I found distracting.
