Quick Be Jack is another snapshot of the adventures and evolving lives of Jack Nolan, former Michigan attorney turned bar owner, and those who are a part of Cap's Place, his South Florida bar. He attempts to assist his friend, Detective Patty Johnson, who suspects that her partner leaked the information that almost cost Jack's bartender her life. The answers Jack finds to lingering questions surrounding several murders and a potential government cover-up are most alarming and may prove to be deadly.

Cap's Place is a bar with some food fare that ex-lawyer Jack Nolan inherited. I should have listened to the 2 earlier novels in the series before this one. The novels are standalone but starting with the first of a series gives the listener better perspective. The action and suspense are clearly present, but this series is clearly about relationships involving mostly the law enforcement community and Cap's Place regulars in Hollywood, Florida. While Quick Be Jack is a relatively light suspense mystery, it is also a nice and relatively fun listen. Narration is excellent.
I plan to listen to and review the 2 earlier books in the series later.
