Summary

The escape from Afghanistan was only the beginning.

The Trio survived the initial fall, and built a refuge, they thought they had reached safety, but only to find themselves once again abandoned and surrounded by the primals. No contact with their families or commands, no relief from the rabid enemy. The fight continues as Brad and his men struggle to survive in a post-apocalyptic world where the enemy is far more dangerous than anything they had been trained for. Over Land Sea and Air they will do anything to reach home.

Its like two books in one

I don't know how he did it for such a short book, but theres a climax befitting an ending in the middle but he just goes on anyways. I would say this book is the best in the series so far.

There is even a female character now. I didn't think the narrator would pull it off, but he did. I don't think the author really knows what to do with females though. The series is thin on the emotional stuff, but the story keeps me interested. I think their attempts to get back to the States is kinda dumb, but that's even pointed out in the story. Oh well, thats what they wanna do.

I like how he makes his zombies different too; they are semi intelligent, tribal, fight each other. Usually they behave like regular dumb zombies unless there is an alpha zombie around.

Just "OK," but much better than the second book.

Nice in between, as you look for the next "Drive past the parking, twice before I get there" selection.

The production was a little overdone, rat-a-tat-tat-tat sound effect for the sound of gun shots? (just to identify one "Come on, really" effect).

I cannot put this series of books down. Great story and plot with great character development leaving me on the edge of my seat! The books end and I am left wanting more!

Another great read by WJ Lundy!

I really enjoyed this third installment in the series. Lundy is a great story teller and this entire series is a must read if you love the zombie genre.

Excellent!

Wow, I did not want to put this down! I stayed up listening to it until 5 in the morning, because I had to know what would happen next. It’s definitely one of those “Just one more chapter” books; where you know you need to do something else (like sleep or work) but you want to keep reading. There’s a lot of moving pieces, some mystery and intrigue about characters and the future. Only the Dead Live Forever is an excellent continuation of the series.

Eric Vincent does a good job narrating the book. The pace and inflections, as well as dialogue, are realistic and well done.

Outstanding

The onky thing that I would question would the narrator. I like it when they have a different voice for each person. Still outstanding. can't wait to go to the next book.

Not your typical zombie

Most stories like this have dumb heroes and terrible luck, not this one. I love these stories

Good, but...

Story was fun and enjoyable. The performance, didn't seem to fit the story. The music and special FX were distracting.
