Publisher's Summary

He kills slowly…painfully. And in those final moments, his victim’s terror is matched only by his own pleasure in the kill. He is unstoppable, a ghost slipping through the cracks of society and choosing his victims with the utmost care. Now, she will be his greatest triumph.

Helena Shea thinks she knows just how ugly life can be. A former model whose career was derailed by a scandalous affair and a public battle with drugs and alcohol, it’s taken years to fight her way back from oblivion. But a single horrifying phone call will unlock a terror she never dreamed possible… Helena’s quest for atonement has placed her in the crosshairs of a sadistic killer, a man threatening to pour out his vengeance upon everyone she has ever loved. And when he kidnaps her daughter, Helena has no choice but to play his twisted game - or die trying.

    "To predictable "

The whining voice of the American narrator was almost unbearable
Story was corny and predictable. To much of the story was given to the other characters not the main plot of the killer. The ending was so cheesy!

"Novel mediocre; narration is much worse"

Angela Dawe cannot help her irritating fingernails-on-chalkboard voice, but there is no excuse for audiobook publishers selecting her to narrate their books.

"Can’t get through Dawes narration "

I’m sorry but I am not a fan of the way Angela Dawe reads. It’s so hard to listen to the loud monotone. Her character voices don’t do as badly but the narrator parts are more than I can handle. Why is she able to read this way? Novel after novel? It would be fine if she could speak normally when reading the narrator parts but alas I’ve not found a book of hers yet that I can get through. It’s bad because I have A LOT of books she narrates. So many titles I so very much wanted to hear and bought them thinking I could get passed this grating monotone loud narrations but no. Just can’t do it!
So I can’t rate the book because I can’t get through it though I tried over and over again.
