Summary

Prague, 1601. L'empereur Rodolphe II de Habsbourg organise une somptueuse fête à l'occasion de laquelle le célèbre astronome Tycho Brahé doit présenter sa conception du cosmos. La cour réunit les plus grands penseurs, artistes et notables de la Renaissance, au nombre desquels se trouvent le peintre Sprangler, l'alchimiste Michael Maier ou encore l'inquisiteur Roberto Bellarmin, connu pour avoir envoyé le philosophe copernicien Giordano Bruno au bûcher. 

L'enjeu est de taille : savoir si le Maître fait tourner le Soleil autour de la Terre, ou l'inverse. Mais lorsque l'homme de science est retrouvé empoisonné dans le cabinet de curiosités du château, l'empereur décide d'enfermer tous ses invités jusqu'à ce que le coupable soit démasqué. Un huis clos sanglant et spectaculaire à la cour de Prague, inspiré de la disparition du légendaire astronome de la Renaissance, Tycho Brahé.
