Publisher's Summary

For most people, a 50th class reunion is a time to party and renew old acquaintances, but Walt Williams isn't an ordinary guy - he's a cop, and trouble seems to follow him everywhere he goes.

Old flames, bullies, and a scorned classmate make Walt's reunion one to remember.

The Mexican drug cartel is recruiting young Latino girls as drug mules and the Kansas City Police have hit a brick wall until Walt is given a lead by an old classmate.

Even then, it takes three unlikely heroes from the Whispering Hills Retirement Village to help Walt and Ox end the cartel's reign of terror.

Join Walt in a class reunion filled with mystery, intrigue, jealousy, and a belly-full of laughs!

"They keep getting better and better!"

I love this series of books! I find that each book gets better than the previous. Each story is a standalone listen, yet might have mention of something that took place in a previous story. (For example, the previous book was the cruise ship murders and this book mentioned that Walt and Ox were recently back from a cruise). When I started listening to this series I did not start with the first book and have not had any problems. I think the author is extremely witty and the narrator has the perfect delivery for this book (and series). This book was so funny in how things were said, I was laughing out loud. I found the story to be very entertaining, engrossing, and most of the characters were endearing. I also like the fact that the author has some great messages in the books as well. I cannot say which was my favorite scene in the book, as there were several that were so good. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I highly recommend this book! The story line is original and the characters are far from perfect, which makes it so good. I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

    "Lady Justice"
Where does Lady Justice and the Class Reunion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book ranks in the middle of all the books i have listened to so far. Overall it was good, but there were a few parts that seemed to either drag on the story a bit more than really needed, but it was an enjoyable story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love all the Characters but really enjoy the lady that takes care of his business that he picks up to help with pumpkins. I can't remember her name, i am horrible with names, but i absolutely love her!

What does George Kuch bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I am not sure since i haven't read any of the hard copies of this series, but i really enjoy his inflections of Character voices.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did laugh quite a bit during this book. even the parts that made it feel like it was dragging a little in too many directions, i was still laughing.

    Story
    "Great read!"

    mystery, seniors, law-enforcement, relationships, situational-humor, verbal-humor

The wheels of Lady Justice may grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine. There are entwined story paths, the law enforcement problem involving drug lords in the area and the upcoming fiftieth class reunion for our hero. They converge when three of Walt's former classmates have information they want him to have but it is not admissible in court, nor can the man who obtained it be known. Despite the serious subject matter (well, not the madness of preparing for the reunion) there is the customary hilarity and groaners. Another delightful book in the series!
I read my copies on audio, and give the print copies to our regional library as I thought it insane that a library system serving a population of 500,000 had not one listed. I know that when I have to wait for months to get a book I've reserved, I often head for an ebook to buy (or an audio).
George Kuch continues to be excellent as narrator.

    Story
"A trip to the class reunion!"

Another hit! This book offers a lot of the old gang, and has a really humorous scene where the whole crew gets together at a gym to catch a thief. These are some of my favorite scenes!

In true Thornhill fashion you get to hear two sides of the story. First we get the viewpoint of 3 old friends who decide to seek justice for victims of a drug lord named Hector. We hear their inner dialogue as they wrestle with getting help from the cops (Walt) and trying to save the day themselves. It's interesting to see how a civilian handles injustice. The second viewpoint is of course Walt, as he and Ox try to use the clues and catch Hector. This is the main plot story and it's very compelling to understand the horrors of drug trafficking (yet done in a way that isn't too heavy).

Weaved into all of this are several sub plots that discuss bullying & a dangerous obsessive love that goes too far. Both Heavy topics which are covered in a light, informative & at times humorous ways.

The final storyline is about Walt going back to his high school 50 year reunion and all that comes with introducing Maggie to his old life. A lot of fun was had there too.

This was spectacularly narrated by George Kuch & another hit!

    "Wow!! Best one yet.."

I don't know what to say but WOW! I even took a morning off to finish it! This is Definately the best book I've read (and listened to)this year!! Thanks Robert Thornhill .. It is a book that I would give top honors without a narrator but George Kush REALLY made it come to life. He really is a suburb narrator.. Don't miss it.

    "Once again wonderful!"

This year will be my 40th class reunion and I hope it is nothing like Walt's 50th class reunion :-) This is book 12 in this series and Robert Thornhill is still making me laugh and want to know more about this cast of charaters. Once again George Kuch does a wonderful job of narrating this book. Robert and George are a great combo. Can't wait to find out what the next adventure for Walt will be.

"Always a moral to be learned"
Would you consider the audio edition of Lady Justice and the Class Reunion to be better than the print version?

I like audios so I can to others things at the same time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Walt is caring and willing to do whatever it takes to bring the bad guys to justice.

Which character – as performed by George Kuch – was your favorite?

George always brings Walt to life in all of the Lady Justice audios. Walt is just like an old friend I haven't heard from in awhile.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, the story holds my attention and it is easier to keep track of the characters.

    Any additional comments?

Robert Thornhill and George Kuch, you've done it again!!!!!

    "Love the Lady Justice Series"
What did you like best about this story?

    The sacrifices 3 friends made.

What does George Kuch bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I just really enjoy this narrator

    Any additional comments?

This is such a wonderful fun mystery with comedy interspersed into the story. All the stories have the same style but each are unique in their own way. My favorite parts of the stories are when Walts friends help him with his cases. I guess I love Mary and Willy the most among Walts friends. Always look forward to the next in the series. Robert Thornhill is truly a gifted writer. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Lady Justice and the Class Reunion
    Written by: Robert Thornhill

Robert Thornhill has delivered book 12 in The Lady Justice series. Walt Williams and his crew of senior citizen helpers are back solving crimes. A new group of oldsters are trying to pass information about a drug cartel, without breaking confidentiality. While all this is happening Walt is roped into helping with his 50th class reunion.

I love the mentions from pop culture that are sprinkled throughout.

Will Walt get to pass on words of wisdom about bullying? Will the nerds get revenge, 50 years later?

I can't get enough of these book!!! Please keep writing Mr. Thornhill.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. George Kuch gets better and better as the series grows!
