Summary

Will American politics always be dominated by the two major political parties or are voters longing for an independent candidate to challenge the establishment?

Everyone thought that the slate of candidates for the presidential election had been set until Benjamin Franklin Foster came on the scene capturing the hearts of American voters with his message of change and reform. Powerful interests intent on preserving the status quo with their bought-and-paid-for politicians were determined to take Ben Foster out of the race. The Secret Service comes up with a quirky plan to protect the candidate and strike a blow for Lady Justice.

Will there be a new resident in the White House or will it be politics as usual? Join Walt on the campaign trail for an adventure full of mystery, intrigue, and laughs!

Walt Williams for president

I liked the beginning of the book as it started with a bang and the end but I found the middle to be a bit long winded for my taste. I did like the book and if you are a fan of Walt Williams then don't miss this one as I am sure the next book will continue from where this left off but if you are new to the series then I wouldn't start with this book. The crazy gang don't really come into it until the end, so I missed them and even though there was a few funny moments it wasn't as humorous as I have come to expect.
This book sees Walt William putting his hard earned police badge away to pick up the presidential seal. When one of the candidates running in the presidental race receives death threats, there is only one person who can go under cover to keep him alive. The man that could play his body double Walt Williams and that is exactly what he is needed to do, walk around with a target on his back. For four long months Walt must walk away from his wife and friends and play the biggest role of his life, by impersonating the man that could very easily be the next president, live on camera in front of millions of viewers. What could go wrong?
Once again George Kuch does an excellent job playing Walt on his high horse.

"Here's to the crazy ones ..."

Once again, George Kuch is Walt Williams, the 68 years old Kansas City cop, as he recounts his latest adventures in pursuit of Lady Justice. He's taken on all sorts of heavyweight oponents in the past but none come bigger than this one - the working system of the United States itself.
With Mr.Kuch voicing the indefatigable Walt, and Robert Thornhill writing the script, this is another fabulous stand alone addition to the series. Not as many jokes this time but still the wonderful characters, great writing and some very interesting ideas about the state of the nation and what needs,to be put right. And someone, of force, is out to get him. Marvelous listening, highly recommended
