Each & everyone of the plays is individual with that haunting allure & creepy atmosphere that takes you into the realms of black & white radio at its best (as with black & white TV :-) )

Full cast famous professional actors of their day bring the charm of these wonderful productions alive with a wealth of old time Hollywood right into your modern home. With nearly 500 plays to choose from, I am not at a loss for some good oldie world mystery.
suspense be it murder, ghosts or supernatural, each one is aerie, with some making the hair on your back stand on its ends.
    i is a
The majority of these productions have good sound, apart from series one where the sound quality is quite poor & not clear with some plays difficult to hear correctly. However; all the rest of the 456 plays are perfectly listenable with clear sound.

My only quibbles with these of oldie productions are the horrendous Adverts for Lipton's Products which are interwoven into each
of the performances 3 times, at the start, middle & end. So annoying and irrelevant and they could easily be removed instead of hearing them over 1500 times!

The plays are too good to miss so if you like old time scary theatre, these are for you Lipton's tea & all.

"Worth the listen if you know what you're getting."
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This is a collection of radio dramas. It is very long because it contains most of the episodes of the series. I found it generally fun and worth the listen especially while doing mindless drudgery. It was easy to listen to without getting lost since it is a collection of half-hour episodes.

Would you be willing to try another book from Radio Revival? Why or why not?

Yes, and I have. I love re-discovering these old radio shows.

What aspect of Old Time Radio’s performance would you have changed?

The shows are very old and in some cases not well preserved. Old Time Radio should spend some resources in restoring the sound. some episodes are unintelligible. Frankly with so many episodes, they could have left some of the worst preserved out. Also, the shows include the advertising in the original episodes. Its interesting to hear the commercials and sponsors of days gone by but not when they are in every single episode. I got really sick of hearing about Lipton Tea and Bromo Seltzer. Edit some out!

Could you see Inner Sanctum Mysteries being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    Pointless question.

    Any additional comments?

You can't beat the value: 60+ hours of content. With the understanding that some of the material is (very) dated; the sound quality is not great (in some cases terrible because of the age and lack of preservation of recordings in the 30's to 60's); and some of the episodes are actually repeated because they were remade for later shows. Regardless, for one credit there is plenty to love here if (big if) you're into radio shows.

    "Too much repetition"

I loved hearing the old radio programs but on some the quality is very poor wihich may be unavoidable due to the age of the recording. There are a lot of the stories that are repeated at least one or more times.
