"I always knew I was going to die. I just didn't know it was going to be today."
Maisie won't live to see her 17th birthday. Her mother and sister are locked in a war over the world, and Maisie is stuck between them. She must decide if she will join her sister's cause, or defend her mother. In the face of her mother's demands, Maisie doubts herself and what she truly wants. But her only alternative is to be murdered by the person she loves most.
Jesse wants to find her father's body and finish him before he can resurrect. If she succeeds she will save millions, if not billions, of lives. But first, Jesse must defeat the woman protecting him.
Will Maisie stand with her? Or fight by her mother's side?
One decision will make all the difference in the world.
I amso behind in this series but I have to say, jumping in at this book was addicting and I will be getting my hands and ears on this whole series. The narrator did an amazing job with this story bringing these characters to life and giving them each emotions and their own voice. This was my first time reading/listening to a story by this author, I am definently a fan. 5 Amazing stars!!!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This was the first book I have listened to by Kory Shrum. I love the fast paced action and can not wait to get caught up with this series. Hollie Jackson did a great job with the narration.
ok, to start, I LOVE THIS SERIES!! so much to obsess over, the world building and "magic" structure is spot on and the characters are fully realized AND there are references to Supernatural!! I cant get enough, and that is why I have to say that this was more like a novella. yes its a crucial part of the whole storyline but there was alot of background and filler, I just felt like I wanted more after the momentum and pace of the previous book.... now that im done with that, i still have all the hope for Jesse' final run..my best to you Kory M. Shrum
What did you love best about Dying Breath?
Everything. All of it.
What other book might you compare Dying Breath to and why?
Harry Potter because it is just that good.
Have you listened to any of Hollie Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes. Hollie's does an amazing job in this book just as she does in her other book.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I don't want so spoil it.
Any additional comments?
This book is great and one of my favorites of this series.
