"A bad patch of weeds."

Short, vividly portrayed: a man comes to the assistance of an old army buddy's widow.
So much is given in so brief a tale.
Narrator Theo Holland gives extra reality to the story teller' s first person account with an excellent performance.
My thanks to the rights holder who freely gifted me with a complimentary copy of Dead Man's Salute, via Audiobook Unleashed.
