Summary
Travelling at high speed in her beloved Hispano-Suiza, accompanied by her maid and trusted companion, Dot; her two adoptive daughters, Jane and Ruth; and their dog, Molly, The Hon Miss Phryne Fisher is off to Queenscliff. She'd promised everyone a nice holiday by the sea with absolutely no murders, but when they arrive at their rented accommodation that doesn't seem likely at all. An empty house, a gang of teenage louts, a fisherboy saved, and the mystery of a missing butler and his wife seem to lead inexorably towards a hunt for buried treasure by the sea. But what information might the curious Surrealists be able to contribute? Phryne knows to what depths people will sink for greed but with a glass of champagne in one hand and a pearl-handled Beretta in the other, no-one is getting past her.

Dead Man's Chest
As they arrive at the seaside for a holiday, Frany finds the house deserted and the house ransacked and the back door left unlocked, with the fresh food gone. After informing the police the get to start sorting out the house and reordering all the food they would want. As she gets to know the locals she starts to increase her house hold. Read brilliantly again by Stephanie Daniel.

Well read mostly.... Some dodgy pronunciation
Quite well read with the characters really coming through different voices. However, the Irish accents and pronunciation of anything Irish was pretty bad, even the names which were barely recognisable to how they are actually pronounced.

Another corker!
Yet another fabulous story. Beautifully written and beautifully read. The details are always what I love the most. You’re all but in the room with her, or wherever she is: you’re there in the late ‘20s, seeing and hearing the same things. And the development of the characters, especially her daughters, and now Tinker, is superb. I’m sorry I’m coming to the end of series. On the plus side, I can hardly wait to listen to them all again😁😁
