Summary
The fourth heart-stopping novel in James Patterson's Alex Cross series. Just as Alex Cross is beginning to feel that life is good and he is finally coming out of the depression he's been in since the death of his wife, he is called to Union Station train terminal - a man is on the loose, firing at random into the swarming crowds of travellers.
Psychopath Gary Soneji seems determined to go down in a blaze of glory, and he wants Alex Cross to be there. Will this be the final showdown?

grrrr
No offence to the narrator, but surely you shouldn't change the pronunciation of a main character's name after 3 books.
I don't care if the original pronunciation was right or wrong ...... it ruined my enjoyment of the story.

Narrator
I really love the story of this book and was keen to read it especially reading the first three in the series. The biggest thing that disappointed me about this book was the narrators. By book 3 I pictured Alex Cross in my mind so when I heard two different narrators on the fourth book I couldn’t picture the character the same. Besides that everything else was great

Jeff Harding's entertaining narration.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoy Alex Cross books and the story was very good.
Any additional comments?
Raj Ghatak was very poor, with robotic, bland narration.

WHY CHANGE THE NARRATOR?
I have been listening from book 1 and the entire experience has been fantastic.
Then book 4 happened.
Why on Earth did the narrator get changed to this God awful one, who cannot pronounce the characters names right, and has made Samson sound like a twat. I really don't think I can listen anymore. Such a shame because the writing is fantastic!

not a nice narrator voice
1. why was the name of the main villain suddenly changed? really confused me at the beginning.
2. the narrator voice makes every character, especially the female ones, sound utterly stupid, except Alex Cross. Overall that really spoilt my listening experience and I decided to not listen to more Alex Cross books if it is the same narrator like for this one.

Oh that voice!!
I hope the narrator in the next book isn’t as awful as this one! I was a little bit in love with Alex cross but not anymore - I’m struggling to hear the story with the annoying voices just irritating me!

My least favourite narrator so far
The story is as usual well paced with no long descriptive pages and a good mix of the crimes interspersed with the personal life of Alex Cross. I wasn't keen on the narration in this and was a bit confused that Soneji is now pronounced differently to the earlier books - every time I heard his name it irritated me! It is worth getting through it though and has not put me off buying the next, I just wish we could keep the same Alex Cross narrating all of the books.

Long and Tedious
Not the best storyline from Patterson. Really two stories strung together for over 120 chapters!
Alex Cross role seems to have been as the storyline punchbag.
Little suspense but overdone gruesome murders ugh!

great story, poor narration.
After listening to the previous 3 Alex Cross books with the narration being on point, I'm disappointed in the new narrators. All the characters now sound like hick hillbillies! it's so different to the previous character voices, that it took me hours to get into the story. Bring back Ako Mitchell for narration, please!
