Summary

X marks the spot - and when that spot is a corpse's naked back and the X is carved in blood, DI Tom Thorne is in no doubt that the dead man is the latest victim of a particularly vicious serial killer. It's morbid and it's messy - but it's a mystery with plenty of clues. This is turf warfare between North London gangs. Crime boss Billy Ryan is moving into someone else s patch - and that someone is not best pleased....

Long winded and went nowhere

The story was long winded, too much waffle and not enough action. Disappointed with this one.

A treatment for insomnia

This might well be the slowest audiobook I ever had the misfortune of buying. The narrator speaks with such monotonous voice, at such slow pace, that I decided to give up listening after a few chapters. These, by the way, have been randomly divided by the audiobook editor, making it impossible for the listener to check out how much is left till the end of the actual book chapter. I only recommend it if you are an insomniac looking for a natural remedy for falling asleep.
