Summary
Sophie Duguet is losing her grip. Haunted by visions from her past of her loving husband, who committed suicide after a car accident.
One morning she wakes to find Leo, the child in her care, strangled in his bed by Sophie's own shoelaces. She can remember nothing of the night before. Could she really have killed him? She flees in panic, but this only cements her guilt in the eyes of the law.

A total binge listen
A fantastic book...twists, turns and unexpected happenings to keep you guessing all the way through. This would make a brilliant film. Completely worth a credit!!

Great book
Definitely wanted to listen to it without stopping. Lots of plot twists even though you might think it’s predictable at the beginning

Powerful
Having listened to all of his previous books, I was surprised at what seemed a slow and predictable start. It was so unlike his other stories that I thought there had to be more to it so I kept listening. So very glad I did. It takes on a fantastic twist and is in true Pierre Lemaitre style. Wonderful.

Well orchestrated
This psychological thriller is the fourth Pierre Lemaitre book that I have 'read'. Blood Wedding is a well orchestrated well crafted story, sometimes horrific and bloody, and full of evil. I cannot give it 5 stars simply because, although very good, it does not match his book Alex. I suggest you read Irene and Alex first and if this gives you an appetite for this author, then you will want to read this too (although they are unrelated).

Not for me. No stars
This is one of the worst audiobooks I have purchased. The whole premise is dragged out inexorably. Awful listen. Couldn't even finish it.
