Critic reviews

“David Wood's Atlantis hits all the marks that a blockbuster should. With rapid-fire pacing, Wood gives you perhaps his greatest Dane and Bones adventure yet with a tale that spins and reels out of control with action. With elements of mystery, lost technology and a mythical city, this book reads like vintage Clive Cussler. His best yet!” (Rick Jones, Author of The Crypts of Eden)
“Flooded with action!” (Rick Chesler, author of Solar Island)

Another hit in the series

The series is now in a rhythm and you know what to expect, but this book added some fun twists and turns to keep it fresh.

nothing lost in this adventure

I really enjoyed this book. I am so glad I discovered this author, he manages to write a captivating adventure that not only hooks the listener until the very end but I also takes you on a roller coaster of a ride where you experience every emotion there is. He does this by knowing how to write characters that you care about and what happens to them. I loved the team in this book, with the witty banter and history between them. Even though this is book six, this is only the third book I have listened to (but I plan to listen to the rest very soon) it doesn't matter that I have listened to them out of order because each book does work well as standalone. The other thing about this series is how much research the author has done to include in each adventure and the possible explanation of unexplained things. So even if you are not a history buff the author imagination will have you diving into a new adventure with Maddock and Bones with guns blazing.
When all the deaths can't be explained by the tsunami ex navy seals Maddock and Bone fear there old friends the Dominion might be up to there old tricks of taking over the world. An archaeological dig group is wiped out leaving only one person behind to explain there unusual discovery. Could the artefact she discovered explain how the Dominion could be hind the unusual attacks? What has Poseidon and the lost city of Atlantis got to do with it or the church? It's up to Maddock and his team of archaeologist, ex seals and computer geeks to discover and put a stop to it.
I really like the narrator and hope he continues to stick with the series, as I can't imagine anybody else doing such a good job of bringing Maddock and the gang to life.

Could not get used to the narrator

I really struggled with this narrator which distracted me from the story.
This was the first David Wood audible I have listened to & that’s enough, so will stick with reading the stories on Kindle.
I didn’t enjoy this story as much as others I have read.
