Summary
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Anything You Do Say by Gillian McAllister, read by Katie Clarkson-Hill.
When Joanna hears the footsteps behind her that every woman dreads, she makes a snap decision. She turns and she pushes, sending her pursuer tumbling down the steps to lie motionless on the floor.
Reveal - Calling 999, Joanna waits for the police to arrive. For judgment, for justice, whatever that may be. She just needs to hope her husband will stand beside her.
Conceal - She didn't mean to do it. She was scared, she panicked. And no one saw. No one will know. If she leaves now. If she keeps quiet, and prays silently to never hear that knock on the door....

Really enjoyed
I really enjoyed this book once I realised that two stories ran concurrently duh! Not my usual sort of thriller but still worth a read/listen.

What would you do???
Loved the twisting storyline and the moral dilemma it gets you thinking about. Well paced and well read.

Not for me at all!
I am over 3 hours into this and it is leaving me cold. I am not engaged with any of the characters. The main protagonist is irritating. The narrator’s voice is dull (perhaps that is her direction as she has a good voice), and also an odd technical querk is employed occasionally, of dropping the sound as if it is coming from a different, more distant speaker. If it was always used for the same characters, or in the same circumstances, it might work, but it seems to be employed fairly randomly. Since I dislike both the story and the narration, I will be returning it.

good concept - weird and offputting audio
audio made this tough to listen to - quality constantly changed throughout and it sounded like someone was behind you then in another country. really offputting. story was engaging otherwise

Great story
Really enjoyed this book, however was a little disappointed with the ending. I thought it would have more of a position on right vs wrong.
Great narrator and well performed

WOW 😮
This book was simply one of the best book ive ever listened too! I really enjoyed the split story of both choices very cleverly written! The narration was really interesting it pulled me in.....almost like being inside her mind and l shouldnt really have been there....hearing all her raw unfiltered thoughts which made it very realistic.

Slow and boring
This is slow and boring and the narrator sends you to sleep, kept waiting for a twist that didn't come, u wouldn't recommend it.

I absolutely LOVED this
If you like a story in which every thing is black and white, good and evil then you won’t like this, utterly REALISTIC story with moral ambiguity and normal imperfect humans struggling to make good decisions.
I normally don’t like the sliding doors idea - but in this case it was exploited so well.
I loved the playing with your sympathies - sometimes she was antipathetic and sometimes it was him. The twists and turns of both scenarios were so true to life and the possibility of redemption in either/both. I also liked the look at the interconnectedness of humans. The fact her best friend’s life was also so
Impacted.
I have liked every book of hers I’ve read - mainly because her characters are not black and white, but this was my favourite.
One slight thing - the narration was bad (not the performance which was sensitive) but the editing.

Not as good as normal
I love this author but this book wasn’t my cup of tea! Interesting story line and the end was ok, but didn’t find myself desperate to hear more! Which is how her books usually leave me!
