Fantastic

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Narration brilliant. Story brilliant. Think book was written in late 80s early 90s so story flowed really well without any pc wokery!! Looking for next one. Definitely recommend you will not be dissappointed.

Disappointing accent

I loved the story but as an audible they should have chosen an Anglesey accent.

Great Local Knowledge

Local knowledge very good. Narrator should have stuck to his natural accent. Place names pronunciation was not good but amusing as a south Walian who lived on Angelsey and heard them pronounced in all manner of different ways. Took me a while to get to grip with some places there myself.

Enjoyed the book and looking forward to his second.

Vicious and unpleasant from the start ....

What disappointed you about Anglesey Blue?

This is a nasty tale not worth the telling and best avoided.

What will your next listen be?

Not sure but I'll not be reading more by Dylan H.

Would you be willing to try another one of Malk Williams’s performances?

Maybe.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment and boredom.

Any additional comments?

I wonder about the motivation of the writer.

Enjoyable listen

I am really looking forward to how this series develops as it left on such a cliff hanger. This story itself completely engrossed me whilst I was listening to it and the interrelationships etc all tied in and were good. It worked so well.
The only issue I had is with some of the accents - 95% of them worked for me but one or two just grated and didnt feel believable. But that did not distract from the story at all - looking forward to more.

Brilliant book - poor accents

This is a gripping, action packed crime drama. I love the respect that the author shows for Anglesey and the surrounding area. He describes the locations so accurately and his characters are very true to life. Unfortunately the audio book version is let down by the accents used by the narrator which don't honour the specific lilt of the area or the Bangor Aye. Some Anglesey natives in the story sound like residents of South Wales and others seem to be from St Helens!

Revolting autopsy details

Probably just me but the medical details are absolutely disgusting. I couldn’t listen. I’m
Sure others are ok with that amount of detail but I’m not so I deleted the book. Just be aware.
