Summary

Kurdish terrorists have attacked a dam inside the borders of Turkey, threatening the water supply of their very homeland. It is not insanity, but the first step in a deceptively simple plan: force all-out war in the Middle East, drawing in the major players in the new world order.

What the terrorists don't know is that a new Regional Op-Center is now online in Turkey. A mobile version of the permanent crisis-management facility, the ROC is a cutting-edge surveillance and information mecca. And its team can see exactly what the Kurdish rebels are trying to do. But the terrorists are more resourceful than anyone thinks. They also have ways of obtaining classified information. And the Regional Op-Center is a prize not to be passed up.

Average at best.

This is my fourth op centre book .I have tried to give them a fair go but and iam afraid its my last. the whole op centre series just is not a patch on the real Tom Clancy novels.

Op-center only gets better

Would you consider the audio edition of Acts of War to be better than the print version?

The audio book and the print version are both excellent and as usual complement each other.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Acts of War?

The Israli spies saving Paul Hood and the ambassadors when the Syrian President used them as bait to capture the terrorists.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Mike Rodger's execution of the terrorist that tortured him.

More Military Accuracy Needed

I've been putting up with the skewed rank system in these books for a while now however, it's getting annoying. 1st saying that this team somehow is better trained than Delta is ridiculous... Especially when the team is filled with privates. No special forces team has anything less than a sergeant.

Rovin is getting better and so is Kramet

it took a bit to get into the story but after the first five chapters I was hooked. rolling needs to stop using words like modem modem modem you don't modem anything, you fax it or email it or text it. Romans or use of speech notwithstanding you certainly getting better. he's actually starting to throw some Tom Clancy surprises into his stories. I'll let you know after the next one in the series

Lots of Filler

Would you try another book from the authors and/or Michael Kramer?

I will give him another try but I am cautious

Has Acts of War turned you off from other books in this genre?

no

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment as I have been enjoying the Opp Centre series however the amount of time given to what felt like reading operations manuals and giving an overview of every possible thing that could go wrong while talking to the president, dragged on an on and on as did other parts of this book, it made me want to skip to the next book. I am hoping that the rest of the series is better.

Moves pretty slow. Overall okay story. Feels like a character development story more than anything.

good story

Mr. Kramer can ruin even the best of written books. It is a challenge to follow which character is saying what thanks in no small part to Mr. Kramers monotone voice and feeble attempts to give spice to his voice. My personal option is that Mr. Kramer's syle is poorly suited for this genre. I think he should do educational books.

Poor story

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This book has too much detail and it's boring

What could the authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Cut out the detail.
