Summary

A classic Marple mystery, read by the inimitable Richard E. Grant.Rex Fortescue, king of a financial empire, was sipping tea in his ‘counting house' when he suffered an agonising and sudden death. On later inspection, the pockets of the deceased were found to contain traces of cereals.Yet, it was the incident in the parlour which confirmed Jane Marple's suspicion that here she was looking at a case of crime by rhyme…

A brilliant performance of a great story.

Any additional comments?

As an avid audiobook listener I think this may be the first Christie I have listened to. No surprises that Richard E Grant's performance is superb. At some points when I could not believe that he was creating all the voices. I would highly recommend this performance of this great murder mystery. Masterful!

Involving and keeps the suspense until the very end

I'm a big fan of Agatha Christie but had never read this book - it didn't disappoint with a great plot and build-up until the very end
