The performances, the terrible European accents, the changes in narrator and changes in microphones (re-recording?) or change in sound qualty with the same narrator do nothing but make this difficult to listen too.

I love the Sprawl trilogy, and I was looking forward to this version. The characterization by the actors is really good but there are numerous seriously bad recording and overdubbing errors throughout the recordings that randomly ruin immersion. A pity!

The sound is super muffled in some places it’s pretty jarring takes you out of the story … really disappointed.

Did anyone from the publisher listen to this before allowing it to be sold? The narrator of Bobby's chapters is really poor, and (probably to fix some errors) the producer has patched some lines in the middle of his narration with totally different volume, tone etc rather than have him re-read the full chapters - it's ridiculous

Some of the narration is a complete mess

Book itself is an all-timer but narrator for the Bobby Newmark sections is all over the place; plenty of energy but strange cadence and emphasis, like he doesn't fully understand the sentences he's reading. It's like the audio equivalent of someone's gone through and added random commas and dashes into the text.

Maybe I'll get used to it. The other narrators are perfectly acceptable.
