About this listen

Amber has made a deal with the devil. To protect her incubus boyfriend, Irix, from the angels, Amber has agreed to journey to Hel and assist the humans there with their failing agricultural program. It's a project the botany major and half elf/half succubus would normally love, but the elves are sticklers for genetic purity and consider her an abomination. Once in Hel, Amber must avoid the elves who would kill her, steer clear of demons who would love to add her to their collections, and somehow manage to create a Garden of Eden out of an arid desert. Human lives depend on her skills, and Irix's continued freedom depends on her honoring her contract with Satan.

This story is very much a filler to set the scene and characters up for the next book. It was ok, but it was almost like it was the edited out stuff from a main book in the series that was removed because it had too much impact on the flow and pace, all packaged together. Definitely worth a listen to know the story set up, but resent spending a credit on it because it’s so short.

It was ok

I loved this short story. Amber is an enchanting central character although I am missing Irix as much as she is! New readers should at least start with book 1 of the half breed series or possibly read a few of the authors imp series first.

Another great installment

A great little short story about Ambers visit to Hel - needs to be read in sequence or it wont really work but if you liked the previous books you will like this. The fact its a bit short is my only complaint.

Short but sweet
