Summary

Nightmare Penitentiary is no joke. The worst of the worst in the paranormal world end up at NP, and I just got sentenced there.

For others, this might be cause for freaking the hell out. But for me, it’s a f--king relief.

You see, I’ve been sold off to the big bad asshole, Alpha Bowen - thanks Mom and Dad! But if they think I’m going to go quietly, or at all, they haven’t been paying attention to how I roll.

Nightmare Penitentiary is the perfect place to escape, and I’m ready. If only people would stop trying to break me out. Seriously, it’s annoying.

I’m ready to relax and serve my sentence, but then I meet the prison guard, Rook. I can’t seem to escape his heated stares, the head wobbles, or the dimples. Sweet pop rocks, the dimples!

You’re not supposed to meet the male of your dreams in prison, but tell that to fate. Too bad I’m not as out of reach from the troubles hunting me down as I thought...and now, there’s nowhere to run because, like, I got myself imprisoned. FML.

Story is okay, the FMC is just Eh

I liked the story, but the FMC always does something stupid that just throws me off and just doesn't make sense. Its gets annoying after a while. I mean she even ruins intimate scenes with some of her ridiculousness. The character is like a shit talking bobble head and that's not a good combination. I mean, shit talkers are usually smart or at least strong enough to back it up at least sometimes right? Well this one isn't and it gets really anti-climatic, especially towards the end. It's like the novel focuses to much on her weird antics instead of making more of a base for the story.

All the silly one can take

This was silly in all the ways a book can be silly. Fun silly, dumb silly, stupid silly, and corny silly.

This is the type of book you read when you're sad and just need something to take your mind off of the real world. You won't have any epiphanies but you also won't be thinking about student loans or dieting.

The heroine is young, does clueless-type silliness, has lots of sex, and likes to fight. (FYI, I'm referring to the Cueless movie for you young people)

It's a romantic comedy about chicken-people, must I say more??? Being from Gamecock country, I have a tiny bit of respect for the chicken. But seriously, it's about chicken-people so expect what you should expect from a magical chicken-people book 😊

She’s a bimbo

Lots of jokes, fun and sex. However, as optimistic and friendly as our heroine is, it can’t overcome the fact that she is dumb as a sack of rocks.
I gave up on the audiobook one hour before the end, because I didn’t care about her fate and could not understand what the hero saw in her.
Great job by the narrator.

Loved It

So funny. It was great fun and totally hilarious, the narrator was wonderful so she totally made it come alive. I laughed out loud you just end up loving Sinclair because she has such a good nature, pizazz, humor and you just wait to see what next funny thing is going to come out of her mouth or she is going to do. The story is fun and different and well worth the listen so if you need a book that makes you laugh, steamy sex scenes, familial issues and romance then this is for you. I definitely recommend it is worth the cost or the credit.

Funny

I started this book not knowing how well I’d like it. One chapter in and I was laughing hysterically. Sinclair is funny and willing to go to great lengths not to marry the pack Alpha. I do think she’s slightly crazy but what she deals with, with her Mam there’s no wonder why. This book is sexually charged and exciting!!

unique

Still not sure how I feel about this story...I felt like I was missing something going in and still kind of wish I knew more about the different paranormal beings in this book. I enjoyed the narration and the storyline. But I needed more background.

Funny, Sexy, Delicious Mess

Sin is a great heroine - she carries on through everything thrown at her, and her ability to find and use humor in every situation had me laughing out loud and enjoying every page. The story is engaging and keeps you entertained with no slow parts. Never knew feathers could be hot before 😄 but I love how even the quirky details of their shifter physiology sound enticing - definitely thanks to the authors great writing skills.

Also, the audiobook is fantastic 😁 great and very funny narrator. Definitely recommend.

Love this!

Such a great enemy to lovers book. I really enjoyed it. The "saucy parts" were beautifully written and wouldn't be considered gross.
