Sleep is the foundation for much of all aspects.

Sleep is the foundation for much of all aspects of life: relationships, health, work. From now on I know I need to prioritize sleep, and follow suggestions for good sleep hygiene suggested in the book.

This is one of the best books I've read in a long.

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time, certainly one that is most life-changing. I wish this book was available to me when I was still young. It clearly explains the hazards of sleep deprivation and the scientific basis for the assertions in the book.

One of the most interesting science books.

One of the most interesting science books I have ever read. And filled with the key reasons for getting a good night's sleep (plus a nap!))tPlus the author's writing style makes the subject so fascinating. You will definitely not fall asleep while reading this

A good read, although without new discoveries.

A good read, although without new discoveries or novelty on sleep research. Most of the pointers raised were pretty much common sense. To keep a clean and cool sleeping environment, to turn off devices etc. I was looking for something else. The book is well written and the writer is clearly an expert. I would highly recommend it for newcomers to the field, but not for the advanced.

This is an informative and exciting book.

This is an informative and exciting book by a dedicated researcher and first-rate thinker. Many subjects related to sleep patterns are covered, and, unlike so much of the writing on scientific subjects, the book is easy to read and holds your interest throughout.

Really, really good. I needed motivation.

Really, really good. I needed motivation to maintain healthy sleep habits and this did the trick! The author knows what he's talking about since his career is devoted to this subject... if you want research-based info without any hype, this is the perfect book.

This book lays out in no uncertain terms that you.

This book lays out in no uncertain terms that you're killing yourself if you don't get enough sleep, and that you're deluding yourself if you think you don't need 8 hours of sleep (or if you think you can make up for lost sleep). May seem a bit alarmist, but the current evidence does seem clear...

A fascinating and in depth exploration of sleep.

A fascinating and in depth exploration of sleep and why it is essential for our well-being and health. So many of us have sleep problems at some point in our lives, and many of our heath problems, both physical and mental, may well have at least part of their basis in sleep deprivation.

There is something about seeing all of this.

There is something about seeing all of this information packaged together within a contextual framework that impresses upon the reader the magnitude of importance that sleep holds.

As a person who has suffered from sleep.

As a person who has suffered from sleep related problems for a decade and been on all variety of sleeping pills (quietapine, alprozolam, ambien) , this book is probably very pertinent to me in more ways than one although it tackles a much wider swathe of issues related to sleep.
