Anna is back. Confidence reunites the reader with Anna and Finn - the stars of Denise Mina's critically acclaimed thriller Conviction (A Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club Pick).

Anna and Finn investigate a young girl's disappearance which seems to be connected to an art heist years ago. Beginning in a tumble-down chateau in rural France and taking the reader on a thrilling chase across Europe, Confidence, is another stellar novel from one of crime writing's most accomplished authors.

PRAISE FOR CONVICTION:

If you loved Killing Eve, you'll devour Conviction' Erin Kelly

'A dark star of a novel, blazingly intense, up-to-the-minute fresh, and exciting as all hell' A. J. Finn, author of The Woman in the Window

Denise Mina is the cream of the crop, an author who pushes the crime novel in new and exciting directions (Ian Rankin)
Denise Mina is crime-writing royalty (Val McDermid)
Riveting, fast-paced
A cinematic thriller... Hitchcockian
[It is Mina's] sulphurous wit that makes her books a joy to read
A playful novel, written with energy, inventiveness and glee
A real pacy thriller
Intriguing, touching, often very funny and full of ideas
Outrageously enjoyable. A rollicking mystery populated by unforgettable characters - like Indiana Jones on acid. (Ambrose Parry on CONFIDENCE)
Denise Mina is amazing and Confidence is just a delight; poignant, heartbreaking, dark and hilarious. I so want to be part of the gang with Anna, Fin, Bram, and Marcos as they charge across Europe. Such a perfect and thrilling adventure! (G.R. Halliday)

Have loved all Denise Mina's books but this was disappointing and I found myself drifting off and loosing the story! Too convoluted and the narration a bit flat.

Disappointing

Loved Conviction and so thrilled to find this sequel.
Must go back and read Conviction again.
This fab book grabbed me from the very start and hurtled me into an excellent mystery with so many twits and turns plus all the delights of a crumbling French chateau plus a whistle stop trip to Rome.
Private jets, youtubing, urban exploring, invaluable relics and icons.
What an adventure, so beautifully written and skilfully plotted
Oh I loved it.
More please Ms Mina

I really wanted to like this book my daughter & I listened to the first one read by another narrator & really enjoyed it. Aside from the odd not read by the male narrator the reading is flat, there is little attempt at different voices for the different characters & everyone blurs into one. Not sure about the story as I found it so difficult to listen to my mind wandered off all the time.

Main narrator is awful
