This book is great. The storyline flows very well and the characters are likeable and interesting. Great action throughout. Fantastic narration from both Tracy and Aaron.

This story follows the progression of Gypsy as she matures, under the thumb of Lucian. From the beginning, there were obvious hints that the reader is not aware of the whole story, of why Lucian is blackmailing Gypsy to marry him. He’s also obviously dealing with his own personal issues. There’s a lot of suspense and intrigue and this kept me really interested in listening to the story.

I have to say that this book is a lot different than I thought it would be. It was beautifully poignant and emotional. I felt for both characters, both damaged from life experiences and watching them come together was a really great experience. There were twists (the twist towards the end had me shaking my head in denial. I really enjoyed this book.

In terms of the narration, Aaron Shedlock was fantastic- affected believable accents and had the perfect voice, gruff and masculine, for the character, Lucian, but he did a good job playing multiple characters, including female ones. Tracy Marks is good but I didn’t find her male voice as believable- it sounded a bit too forced. Overall, though, I enjoyed the narration.

what an amazing story ! I went into this audiobook completely blind and I didnt get what I was expecting , what I listened to was so much better ! I was gripped the whole time and didnt want it to end, I'm so glad Lucian and Gypsy got the ending they did , they went through so much
the narration was absolute perfection

Three of my favourite things. A Zavarelli, Tracy Marks and Aaron Shedlock. This book therefore was a win win for me. Faultless. The story follows Lucian and Gypsy, Lucian an attorney who represents the ot so good people , those who aren’t given a real chance in society. Then there’s Gypsy, a con artist who was abused from a young age, she was forced to go on the run to protect her younger sister. A story full of blackmail, intrigue with lite of sexy time. Enemies to lovers if you wil. I have to admit to reading book 2 in the series prior to this, so I did know of some of the background. This also meant I missed a few of the ‘oh wow’ moments. I was still blindsided a little, you know the scenario - the, I did not see that coming scenario! It did not take away from the story for me though. Wonderful writing, characters and story. I loved it.
