Communion is the iconic classic in which Whitley Strieber describes his 1985 close encounter experiences. This book, which fundamentally changed the way we understand close encounters and alien abductions, is presented here with a new introduction by the author.

The message of Communion, that something unknown is really happening to people but that we have not studied it enough to understand it, remains as timely now as it was in 1987 when the book was first published. And Whitley Strieber's riveting account of what he experienced, along with his relentless and expert pursuit of the reality behind the experience, is to this day the greatest such account ever published.

Do not miss this great classic and the powerful introduction that explores the situation as it stands today—even more provocative and important now, as official sources are admitting that UFOs are real unknowns and that they seem to have something to do with close encounters.

Read this years ago but thought I would revisit as I always have to listen to something that is not too distracting while I am working. The one piece of advice I would give is to listen to this at 1.2 x speed.

This is a must for every ufologist, and everyone interested in the subject of alien abductions.

However, there is a buzzing noise in the background of this production which makes it very hard to listen to through headphones, or at any great volume. It sounds like it was recorded on a microphone which wasn't grounded properly. I tried on two separate devices and got the same noise.

Fascinating account of what must have been a strange and continuing set of circumstances. My gratitude to the man.

Deeply fascinating

Whether you believe it or not, its a brilliant, intelligently told account of a very unique experience. If this is a work of fiction Whittley is a genius. Love the agnostic and scientific approach he takes to try to understand what he had experienced. I also really love how creepy it all is!
