The second novel in the Lindsay Gordon series.

A protest group hits the headlines when unrest at a women’s peace camp explodes into murder. Already on the scene, journalist Lindsay Gordon desperately tries to strike a balance between personal and professional responsibilities. As she peels back the layers of deception surrounding the protest and its opponents, she finds that no one – ratepayer or reporter, policeman or peace woman – seems wholly above suspicion. Then Lindsay uncovers a truth that even she can scarcely believe.

Very good as usual for this author. She keeps you guessing! Looking forward to the next one!

great book but very hard to concentrate on the story with all the dodgy accents going on. Not even sure what some of them are supposed to be. if I hadn't already invested in the rest of the series (based on Author alone) I would not have continued.

awful narration

This was a bit of a strange book, I didn't really get into this book, it was like it was hard listen too. the story line was ok! but not as interesting as previous books.

Narrator totally spoilt it for me and I just couldn’t get into it. A real shame,

I’m surprised by the other poor reviews as I really enjoyed this story. It was a refreshing plot about the Greenham Common women that turned from a murder mystery into a story about international espionage. I agree it ended rather abruptly without tying up the loose ends. I thought the narrator had a good range of accents for the dialogues of different characters, but in the descriptive passages went into automaton mode and sounded more like a Scottish talking clock.
