When Lottie Foster’s grandmother’s best friend, Gwen, dies, she leaves Lottie her lovely home, Cuckoo Cottage.
Lottie loves the cottage, but Matt, a charming local builder, points out that beneath its charm it is falling apart. Luckily he is always on hand to help with the problems that somehow seem to keep cropping up. But is he just a bit too good to be true? Certainly Will, Lottie’s closest neighbour, seems to think so.
Lottie plans to set up her own business renovating vintage caravans. She hasn’t told anyone about the project she has cooked up with Jemma from The Cherry Tree Café to repurpose Gwen’s old caravan and turn it into a gorgeous tearoom.
But before she can finally enjoy living with her legacy she must uncover whom she can trust and whom to avoid. And with two men vying for her attention, will she also find love?

Disappointing
I have listened to and enjoyed most of the other Heidi Swain series set in the same town but found this one
disappointing. From the very beginning, the plot had an enormous arrow pointing to the end that made any jeopardy unrealistic and as for the main character - which century was she born in!? How could any woman be so naive and basically stupid to fall for 'the baddie' and not see his oh so obvious plotting. Just about managed to listen to the end but it was touch and go. Liked being introduced to the Cherry Tree Cafe again and hope that Miss Swain has a bit more faith in women in her next book.

Difficult to listen to at times.
I downloaded this expecting the usual recipe for an enjoyable listen from Heidi Swain. As usual the main characters were interestingly drawn and the first meetings left me wanting to know more.
The middle of the book was almost excruciatingly difficult to listen to, as Lottie ignores all but one voice with the obvious disastrous consequences. It was a relief to get to the end and I shall be having a rest from Ms Swains writing for a while.

Cuckoo cottage a delightful story.
Absolutely loved this book , a love story with villain and hero seeming to swop titles.
fully of intriguing, conspiracy and a times a little danger.
A must read for a Cathy Bramley readers.

Fine to pass the time
I think I would have enjoyed the book a bit more if the main character hadn’t been so gullible. I found myself rolling my eyes at how utterly pathetic she seemed at times. The narrator was fine but I wasn’t keen on some of the inflection which made Lottie sound much older than she was in the book. I love the idea of Wynbridge so will probably give another book a chance, I’m hoping the narrator will grow on me and the next character will be a bit more intelligent!

Too Mills and Boon, to predictable
There is tragedy and betrayal but not used sufficiently to build intrigue or depth. I'm sure readers could see Mark for what he was and I don't believe lottie could be that stupid not to see it for herself. I kept reading hoping it would improve, it didn't.
My first and last of this author.

Another enjoyable listen, narration is great along with a heartwarming story, great how it encorporates Cherry Tree Cafe too.

good
very slow to get into it but once it got going it was very good. slightly predictable however I still enjoyed it. a little too much narration for me but overall I'm glad I listened to it.
