Summary

Few can forget where they were thirteen years ago when they first heard "Jeremy Hardy Speaks To The Nation". The show was an immediate smash-hit success, causing pubs to empty on a Saturday night, which was particularly astonishing since the show went out on Thursdays. Since that fateful first series, the show has gone on to win Sony awards, Writers Guild nominations and a Nobel Prize for Chemistry with lines like - "Kids should never be fashion slaves, especially in the Far East. My 12-year old daughter asked me for a new pair of trainers. I told her she was old enough to go out and make her own".

"The master of quietly inflammatory comedy" - (The Evening Standard)

"Made me drop the kettle in shock , but worth it" - (The Daily Telegraph)

"The one-liners come hit the target time and again so that youve hardly stopped grinning from one gag before the next one comes along" -(The Evening Standard)

This is the Complete Second Series, and contains 6 episodes, with the titles:

"How To Be A Popular Figure Around Town"

"How To Have A Baby"

"How To Be A Leader Of Men"

"How To Be A Father - Part 1"

"How To Be A Father - Part 2"

"How To Meet The Challenge Of The 21st Century"

Mr Grumpy strikes again!

I love a bit of Jeremy Hardy. He is the archetypal Mr Grumpy with a sly view of the world at large and how today is not as good as yesterday.

Putting the world to rights in episodic talks, this show will put a wry smile on your face. Not enough to laugh out loud but well worth a listen.
