This Book Eased My Depression and Anxiety

I just finished listening to Maddox's new book, "Fuck Whales", on audiobook. I can honestly say that his book has helped me so much with my depression and anxiety.

I am currently dealing with overwhelming stress brought on by a recent breakup, relocation, job search, and "starting over" at 31 years old in a new place where I don't know anyone.

The past few days, which have been especially difficult getting my depressed ass out of bed, I have been walking around town listening to this book and laughing so hard and forgetting about my troubles for a little while.

Thank you, Maddox, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to craft this masterful tome and also to grace us with your own voice on the audiobook version.

Even though you are the Master Satirist of our generation, you are also doing serious work that has a real world impact on people like me. Humor is sometimes all we have to cope with the madness of daily living. Thank you for being the funniest man alive.

Even though you didn't write it or read it for me, you still made me feel better by doing it. Keep up the stellar work and fuck whales!

Fuck this book

Fuck this book and fuck this review. It's a great read. Read it like a dictionary of contrary-ism.

#dicklies

A terrible book from a dead/irrelevant internet "celebrity". How long is it going to be before Maddox disavows chapters in this book because he's retroactively offended by them?

a hilariously fun read!

hilarious essays from my favorite childhood internet hero. I agreed with almost every single essay I read even though I believe it was deliberately over-exaggerated.

It's OK.

Been a fan of Maddox since the late 90's. First half of the book is classic Maddox and very funny. Second half of the book seems to take a nose dive into social justice conversation points. It is well written and I am sure others will love it. Just not my type of book.

Excellent essay

I loved it and fuck you if you didn't. Having Maddox ranting in my ears for more than 4 hours was both entertaining and enlightening.

Not even a sensible chuckle.

Maddox is a one-note joke that only autists laugh at.
He is fucking clown shoes. If he were real, I'd beat the shit out of him for being so stupid.

F*ck Reviews

Worth it just to hear the publisher's classical music and voiceover actress say the title

F*ck you too.

Liked it, maybe some points were a little weak. That's most likely due overexposure to Ruckas arguments.
