Summary

An unidentified woman is found murdered on the North Norfolk Coastal Path and newly promoted Detective Sergeant Kate Brannon and Kings Lynn's CID have the task of figuring out whom, how, and why. A job that's made more difficult when every one of the 40 residents in the village has something to hide and answers her questions with a string of lies.

Georgina Temple has her own secrets to keep, and her own reasons to keep them. But her growing attraction to Kate makes it increasingly difficult to keep them. Kate's investigation into the woman's death delves into the heart of the tiny fishing village where nothing and no one is quite what they seem.

Contains mature themes.

Cliche and uninteresting

Not sure what this book wanted to be but whatever it was it could probably have done it better

Off putting narrator!

Story was decent enough and characters mostly believable but the narrator was completely off putting. Accents weren’t great and lisp was distracting. Found it difficult to focus on the story!

Excellent story line

Well paced and intricate storyline. Couldn’t have guessed the outcome- well I did but I was wrong every time. Nice touches of humor throughout. Will definitely be reading more Andrea’s books.

Murder in Norfolk coast!

Norfolk coast with its tides, ebbs and flows is same energy Andrea Bramhall brings into her characters. Like waves changing the beach, Andrea bring us into twists plots, red herrings, few laughs with tears and one soak police car.

Detective Sergeant Kate investigate death on beach. While questions local folks, she meets Gina where sparks of romance. Which I love is slow burn getting to know each other, but Gina is holding back a secret. I was more intrigued with murder mystery. I wasn't expecting but I loved major plot ending was done.

This is not a cozy murder mystery novel.

Henrietta Meire bring wonderful emotional narration to each characters.

I can't wait for rest Norfolk Coast Investigations books to be available in Audible soon!!

Brilliant

Glad there are already several more books in this series to look forward to for continued murder mystery suspense with a full cast of memorable characters. Way above average writing from this author who is new to me.

Brilliant Book

Every aspect of this book was top notch. Right up there with Agatha Christie.

Excellent!

I loved Collide-O-Scope. I had already read the book. But I loved the audio. Great story. Henrietta Meire does a great job with the narration.

Couldn’t connect

There is not enough character development.
The story itself is interesting, but something is missing.
I never got a true sense of place, there was not enough descriptive language to really take you away or draw you in to the tale.
And the characters are very 2D.
Particularly the main character.
It left me wanting, wishing for some depth, and at least one person who felt complete, someone I could really relate to.
This just didn’t happen in this story.
I had high hopes.
A bit of a letdown.
So close to being a really great book, just too many important elements are missing.
I need at least one person to identify with, to know, or feel like I know on some level.
I was bored and couldn’t finish.
Sorry, such potential for a great read, but we never quite get there…

threw in the towel

I tried to hang in & came back & tried again but the story was just Flat, characters never developed and felt they didn't share who they really were & what they felt. I didn't care about them, kept at a one dimensional arms length. Story dragged on, come on mystery, heck anything interesting happen.....

Passionate Love Story at the Center of Crime

I loved Collide-O-Scope by Andrea Bramhall. I could feel the growing passion, pain, and disappointment when needed. I loved Sami, Gina's daughter. The relationship between Gina, Sami, and Kate added another dimension of love and feeling. The narration was grand, drawing me in. I intend to listen to all three in the series.

Not sure

Not sure why but I didn’t feel any connection between the characters. Maybe it was the narrator but I felt like something was missing.
