Summary

It's here: the landmark debut thriller from superstar Ant Middleton, million-selling, number one Sunday Times author of First Man In and The Fear Bubble and star of SAS: Who Dares Wins.

This is a full-cast, unabridged audio production starring Ant Middleton, Steven Mackintosh and a full cast of actors.

Mallory - he was the best of the best, a Special Forces leader and a hero. But then he made a fatal decision, gambling with the lives of his men with terrible consequences: two dead, and his young friend, Donno, left in a coma.

Back on the streets, with nothing to lose, Mallory has a darkness growing inside him, a dangerous need to seek out trouble. Then Donno's mother asks him for help: her other son, Scott, has gone missing in South Africa, and she wants Mallory to find him.

Perhaps it's redemption, perhaps he's looking for revenge on the world, but suddenly Mallory has a purpose, and nothing and no one is going to stand in his way.

A thriller so real it hurts.

Great listen!

Absolutely loved listening to this story, I listened to most of it in one sitting! The cast accents aren't too bad to listen to, especially as usually I only really like one narrator doing the whole book and the narration by Ant is a great addition. The story line itself has some predictable moments but it's been great to listen to the story build the pieces together from the past and the present intertwined. You can tell Ant's life and experiences has formed the basis for the characters and the story, Ant is 100% Mallory. Definitely recommend this audiobook!

A brilliant debut!

Narrated by Ant Middleton, the author himself. I really enjoyed the book. The use of other narrators for Mallory etc was a good idea & brought the story to life. I will be looking forward to what adventures Mallory gets up to next!

Terrible

For starters ant Middleton should never have narrated this book, he is truly awful. As for the story it’s just a bang average book that is just boring, not helped by Middleton’s monotoned voice.

Awesome - you’ll be gripped

Ant - well done! Gripping and must keep listening audio book - don’t operate heavy machinery!
Despite some feedback on here - always enjoy Ant narrating his own books and the cast was an extra bonus!
Waiting for the next adventures

Really enjoyed

Really enjoyed the book, worth a listen. Great characters and I am excited for the follow up. I started with low expectations however found myself wanting to go back to it at every opportunity to find out where it would go next. I highly recommend.
