Perfect for those with chronic anxiety and depres

Purchased for myself and later for a relative. Terrific book. Do the work and you'll probably see results. It can be difficult to find CBT practitioners in many places, and this book is a nice way to get started at least.

This is nice and it helps sort out your feelings

This is nice and it helps sort out your feelings keeps you thinking and motivated to complete things and keeps me going in the direction I need to be in. Pacing yourself is key and the follow through on your part is as well. Good book if you can commit yourself to some self love.

Simply explained

I've listened to this book several times already. As a trainee wanting to understand and practice CBT more clearly, this product has helped tremendously. I would definitely recommend this book/audio. I've used what I've learned in practice and I am seeing results of change with my clients.

Excellent Audio book!

I work in the mental health field and have had training on CBT and seen the results of this type of therapy. I found the book to be very easy to read and understandable. If a person cannot (or will not) attend therapy in person this seems like the next best thing, especially if the depression and/or anxiety is not already too debilitating. Some people will need the professional help

As someone who has benefitted from CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), I highly recommend this book - and wish it had been written years ago! I come from a family with a history of anxiety and depression, and was both told - and believed - I would be plagued by this history for most if not all of my life

useful and calming

I have a soft spot for these well paced self help books which delve into the simplicity of our predominantly self made problems. to focus on a life of subtraction in which fundamental behaviours are one of staying peaceful and calmly alert in a world full of panic. this book offers help to those who seek it.

I needed this book

I currently at 10 and a CBT group and I wanted to read this book to see if it was going to be just as effective as going to a group that I have not learned a heck of a lot from. And so far I see some things in here about how to control your stress, anxiety, and depression along with the understanding that what fritters is for I like about this book did get a few breakdown the negative thought pattern to turn it into something positive and also helps you think about your core beliefs facing your fears and so much more I actually learned a lot from this book.
