I find this book insightful.

I find this book insightful. Not many people understand depression or other mental conditions. For people who suffer these conditions, it is hard to find ways to cope. I myself deal with anxiety and stress. I do not know how to manage my thoughts and feelings well. This really helped me a lot.

Do not waste you time

This book is so simplistic it is patronising . I was looking for help .
One technique for dealing with distress would be to encourage yourself, or take a holiday, or go to the movies, Really!!!! Usual bla bla bla loads of padding and virtually no help. Just don't ! ( I have never written a review but I was so incensed I has to write )

Useful yet problematic

While well intentioned with some good suggestions, this book has it's own problems. I found the narration style had a 'sales-like' tone. I felt like I was listening to an infommercial voiceover rather than a compassionate and empathetic voice. Chapter 11 mentions Spiritually, God and prayers as DBT suggestions. While belief in God or prayers may bring some people comfort, I don't see how it belongs in this book. Belief in prayers to solve problems have no evidence in fact.

Useful and easy to use

The techniques contained in this book are very simple and anyone can apply them. However, in order to change your life, you have to take action. Very insightful audio book.

Best CBT ever!

If you are wanting to understand Cognitive Behavior Therapy, this is the audio book for you. It explains it well, and describes it in a way that you can apply it in your counseling. Very informative and interesting to listen to. Highly recommended.

I I thought I can not escape from this problem.

Listening while enjoying was really a great experience. All the precious lesson I've heard is useful. This book provides both solution and information about depression and anxiety.
